Who: Tobio Kageyama, Shoyo Hinata
What: Oops he's a girl?
Where: Kageyama's dorm room
When: after this
Rating: PG-13, maybe some language, maybe they talk about their feelings or something, maybe Kageyama just kicks him out who knows but there will undoubtedly be name calling
Status: In progress
Things had been tense since Kageyama had woken with changes he didn't want, let alone ask for. It had felt like he went through the stages of grief since then, arguing with no one in particular while he paced in his room. He was in denial, despite a trip to the bathroom to completely confirm the horrors. He looked sort of like himself. Still the same smooth black hair, the same dark blue eyes and pale complexion. He was pretty, he guessed, but that didn't make up for the fact that he was a girl and he was not supposed to be. Then after looking around online and deciding to skip class for the rest of his life, he came to the conclusion that it wasn't just him. That wasn't comforting at all.
His captains were going to kill him...but he couldn't practice like this.
It wasn't like he was a starter anyway thanks to that Akaashi guy stealing the spotlight...he was so good. That was a whole other bag of unfairness that he didn't want to dip into.
So, finally, eventually, he'd decided to just hide away. He had some snacks and some allowance left. He'd just order food and limit his interactions, but that left one thing not taken care of.
Hinata.
While normally he actually sort of enjoyed seeing the bouncy orange in general, he couldn't let him see him like this. It was worse that so many people seemed to know them from...another life or whatever and already thought there was something going on. Maybe there had been. Hinata hadn't said, but he hadn't asked either. It was just...fun...to play with him. Even when they didn't sync perfectly or got frustrated at each other. He liked it. Still, there was no way he was going to let Hinata see him like this if it could be avoided.
At least, that was what he thought. The other boy had seemed so put off by Kageyama declaring he couldn't come over again that he'd almost felt bad for it. Made worse that he thought they were breaking up? They weren't even together. Well, Kageyama supposed he didn't know anything about that, but if he didn't know, and Hinata didn't know, who knew?
So, he went back to round one. Pacing. He was pacing back and forth, his shorts and a loose shirt on, his hair pulled back. It was about as normal as he felt except that nothing fit right. Hinata had promised not to laugh about it, though. He had his doubts. He could already just imagine the short dumbass taking one look at him and bursting out laughing at his misfortune.
He was already feeling ruffled by the thought when he heard the door and he braced himself before stepping over to open the door before Hinata actually let himself in. He paused for a moment then tensed up, glaring slightly. "WHY ARE YOU TALLER NOW?!"
