Much had changed since they saw one another last in Sokovia. Wanda changed. The years may not have been many, but they were incredibly full to bursting. The world fell into ruin and began to come back again in that time and Wanda herself was put in a position where she took it all on her shoulders. Without Vision, without Pietro who was the other half of herself... she was nothing but lonely.
"A few," she agreed with a nod, reaching up to dab at her eyes some more. It felt like home being there in Pietro's arms, for the first time in a long time.
There was still rage, but mixed with that anguish it was more dangerous. Wanda was capable of great things... but also terrible ones. Given into those emotions, she controlled an entire town and crafted a world she could be comfortable in. In a way, this place felt the same, without the puppet strings attached. That and it wasn't of her down design. She wasn't ready to tell Pietro about that, not yet. And with that incredible power she wielded, Pietro was absolutely right... she was also more vulnerable than ever.
There was plenty of time to discuss that.
"My hair?" It was a detail she didn't consider too closely until now. She did change her hair when first on the run with Vision, though she made no conscious alteration since. She picked up a lock at her shoulder to look at it as if looking for the answer, continuing on to lead Pietro into her living room. "I dyed it," she offered, though it wasn't entirely true and she hoped Pietro wouldn't catch on or press right then. In truth, she felt it had something to do with her magic, but that subject too opened up into... so much more.
"I would assume right now that all your questions have answers in the same long story," Wanda peeked into the bag Pietro put down before going to get glasses from the kitchen, which was fairly a part of the same space. "And I will answer them all, I promise." Placing the glasses on the table, Wanda pat the chair beside her for Pietro to join her. When he did, Wanda reached over to take his hand, resting them there on the table between them.
"The first thing I feel like I should tell you is that..." she paused and took in a breath, frowning some to herself. It was important that Pietro know and what she was about to say set the whole rest of their conversation into perspective. "It's been two years since I saw you last, Pietro."
