As much as he hated to admit it, maybe Oikawa was right in some way. His thoughts wandered while he was on the bus ride over, watching the scenery pass by outside the window. It wasn't so much about his confidence, but he couldn't say there wasn't something lacking without Oikawa right there all the time. He couldn't blame it on just that either, it was this place. It was all screwy and put Iwa off to be honest. He wasn't sure what he was expecting when he decided to follow Oikawa here, but for some reason this wasn't it. It might have been in still adjusting, in still feeling like crap about himself, in something he didn't even have words for, it just picked at him and set him on edge. Everyone was here because of something. A shitty thing that happened or just deciding to be done, he didn't know everyone's story, but he wasn't here trying to be a jerk.
He hadn't been to see Oikawa yet, which was weird in itself. It wasn't because he did't want to, there just was a lot going on since he came here and found out Oikawa had already been here for months, that Kageyama was fresh out of middle school for some reason, and the teams were all over the place. Like a deal you made with a genie in a bottle, it just wasn't quite right. Since there was no going back, then might as well make the best of it, right? Sure. That's what he was going with.
Adjusting his bag over his shoulder as he got off the bus, he called Oikawa to get directions to his room. Going for a run always had a way of helping him clear his head, he was looking forward to the rush and burn that came along with it, at the end when you felt spent but still accomplished. The soreness of his body wasn't even bothering him that much aside from he occasional throb in his cheek that made him wrinkle his nose. Shitty Osamu... he didn't know how he was going to deal with a guy like that, but he didn't have much of a choice unless he wanted to keep getting kicked out of practice. Leaning against the wall, he knocked on the door and waited for Oikawa to answer.
