"Party?" He looked over then, curious, lightly so before tilting his head a little bit. "Juice that didn't taste like juice..." What was that? Something like plum wine? Interesting... another thing he'd just make a mental note of for later. It felt good to learn things about someone that didn't involved needing to rapidly store and counter the information.
He waited a moment, watching Eiji before he nodded a little then paused. "Oh~? Why not? She's cute enough for you. She's always been friendly. Are you afraid if you ask her out and you break up you'll never be able to go back there again?" It seemed like a fair enough concern. Oikawa wasn't going to give up his milk bread for her, after all.
Friends, though, that was a slightly weird concept. Oikawa didn't usually make friends with girls...then again most girls tended to get easily flustered and squealy around him when he was too nice to them. The curse of being attractive he figured, and frankly one of Iwaizumi's biggest annoyances. It wasn't like Oikawa asked for the attention...sometimes.
"Oh. Not really. You were just acting like one. Suddenly so serious and focused and willing to admit you were in the wrong. A lot of people are too cocky to believe they need improvement and it pushes others away."
He considered it for a moment, thinking back. "Being a good team member requires such things. You can't be a dictator King and expect peasants to listen, but you can be the type of guy who acts princely and respects those around him and their opinions." A nod, and he was shrugging. "Big difference, but both have that sort of royal air, don't they?"
There was a pause before he reached back and gave Eiji's shoulder a happy slap. "Besides, it's always a nice feeling when someone listens to what you have to say and remembers it. I wasn't lying when I said your girlfriend would be lucky. A lot of guys just brush little things off too easily."
