"That's why I was Captain." There was an obvious happy tone to his voice, and that wasn't all of it. He wasn't Captain just because he knew his team had to take care of themselves. But he was still pretty happy to be praised either way. He was good at bringing out the best in people, if nothing else. He didn't have to be a genius to make others shine.
He let out a little laugh, lifting a hand to cover it before waving it off. "Modest, too. As if snacks are that important..." Maybe they were to Eiji...he sure seemed to like them.
Still, he took his bag and waited, watching the two of them for a moment before giving the girl a friendly wave. "Bye bye~," he nodded and moved to let them both out of the shop. Why Eiji didn't take more initiative, Oikawa didn't know, but he supposed it would be alright. Maybe she wasn't his type.
"Those are good snacks. I'll eat anything, though. I like something warm and filling like ramen after a match, and the whole team used to go together." It was weird to talk about it now, but his high school career had been over when he left, yet, time was different here. He still had time technically. Though, he wasn't sure what to do about all that.
"Do you have a favorite food, Eiji-chan?" He waited until they were both out to start walking back toward the school, moving to pull out Eiji's bun from his bag and hand it over. "Did you not like the girl, either? You could've given her your number."
