Nothing Eiji was saying made it sound any better. Sure some of it was better than others but his diet hardly sounded good at all. He'd sic Iwaizumi on a teammate so fast if they tried to pull something like that. So, he might have just met the other boy, but old habits die hard. Eiji might not have been younger than him or anything like that, but he wasn't going to stand by and let a friend hurt himse-oh.
He sobered a little, swallowing, but keeping face until Eiji apologized and he felt himself relax. He was more of a motivation speaker than anything and he nodded. "Important is okay...but don't get so swept up in anything that you suffer for it." His knee was proof of that. He supposed this was how Iwaizumi had to feel, watching him be such an idiot at times and ignoring things he needed to worry about instead of being so obsessive. He almost wished he could apologize to the other boy now.
At the mention of the milk bread, though, something inside Oikawa felt like it melted, sliding down low in his gut for a moment and he was back to smiling, a part of him pretty stupidly glad the other boy actually listened to him, a bit more sincerely this time as he turned to look at the bakery girl. "Ah...he's kind of like a prince, isn't he?" When she gave a slow nod he looked back to Eiji. "Eiji-chan's future girlfriend is going to be very lucky." Well, he assumed he didn't already have one. He'd have to work fast if he did.
"We'll come back and you can try more things." He nodded, moving to reach for his wallet, and well, he'd at least buy the bun Eiji forfeited. "Do you want to stop anywhere else on the way back? I do feel like I should shower before I settle in." He looked back over. "We can go get dinner together after."
