Dominic had never talked so much about his family, and maybe this was why. Kyle knew many mutants were not in contact with their families, for various reasons - bad blood, rejection, abuse. Kyle was one of the few whose family dynamic, while not precisely functional, was not utterly ruined. His parents were, however, on another continent -- which made communication somewhat difficult.
Which was convenient. The Syndicate had enemies, not all of them as honourable as the Centurions. It was easier to avoid collateral damage being far from home.
"If they have powers, they must have slipped through the cracks," Kyle mused. "More do than people realize. Which is maybe a good thing. If even we can't find all the mutants..." He shrugged. The meaning was clear: if they couldn't hunt their own, humans didn't stand a chance of finding them all.
