Giselle couldn't help but widen her eyes at his admission. She knew well enough that he hadn't just been using her, but it was still good to hear. She just wasn't prepared to hear Ben admit how he would have married her if he were straight. She was trying to decide if he was saying it as a hypothetical scenario, or if he would really have pushed through with it for the sake of covering up his true sexuality. "Wow. That's something." She admitted, not sure how to express how surprised she was. "Marriage never really crossed my mind." It was a bit of a white lie. "But I guess I'm flattered?" She finished with a bit of a laugh.
She wasn't laughing at him, of course. She loved Ben with all her heart and wouldn't want to offend him at her sudden but soft burst of laughter. When he mentioned his father, she went back to being serious. "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked, placing a hand over his cheek comfortingly.
