Richard had wanted nothing more than to find a hidey hole and get some sleep. After all, he'd been on the move for the better part of the past month in one way or another. First he had to go find the book, then he had to bring it back. Even with the possible locations narrowed down, it had taken a while and now this close to his destination, he was wondering seriously if it was worth it. He'd managed to find it. But from what he could see of it, there was no way to read it. Though maybe it had something to do with demonic magic, maybe he needed to be more powerful? Well, if that was the case then Magik shouldn't have any problem with it. Or maybe the legendary Dr. Strange would appear to give them a hand. There was no telling anymore. All he really wanted was to catch forty winks without having to wonder if someone was going to take a bite out of him in the meantime.
So he had found himself a spot and hunkered down to sleep. However, like anyone in this place, sleeping for more than a few hours in what was easily considered an unprotected place was hard to do. So two and half hours later, he was up again, prepared to go take a look around at least to assure himself things were still as they should have been. Needless to say, he was surprised again to find her sitting outside his door. He weathered the surprise fairly easily though.
"I guess you're not sleeping either," small talk was okay. They weren't friends, but they weren't enemies either. A good thing to have right now when enemies were all too plentiful. "I'm Richard by the way. Can call me Rich or Ricky, whatever." Last names didn't mean as much as they did before. Considering how much the human population had been thinned out, one could hardly find it strange.
