Open When the rings deposited her on the planet, Anat expected to see her guards already there. To see j'affa making short work of the rebellion she'd gone to quash. A village, perhaps parts of burning or in ruins.
Not the shores of a lake, empty. Or a forest, likewise uninhabited.
She snarled, and reactivated the rings to return to her ha'tak. Or rather, she tried. Nothing happened, and Anat scowled, glancing down, looking for the control panel. No rings. Nothing, in fact, but her and the grass that covered the shores of the lake, and the trees around it.
Her eyes flashed gold as she stalked along the shore, looking for any sign of habitation - human or j'affa, if anyone lived here, there would be some path, some sign.
Movement caught her attention, and she turned towards it, pulling herself up to her full height. "Show yourself." Her voice was deeper than the host's natural tones, faintly distorted as always - there had never been a reason to put the effort in to be rid of it.
