Caitlin looked over at John and Fred before looking at the boys. If they weren't careful, they were going to be found out. You may want to dial it down a bit, Rodney, she told him as they walked down the hallway. She grimaced when Rodney did an awful job of dodging John's questions.
As they got into the elevator, Fred stood on the opposite side from Carson, Rodney and Caitlin, and just looked at them. She couldn't put her finger on it but there was something going on. She was almost tempted to press the stop button and call for help. The SGC must have something to take care of pod people. But before she could, the elevator doors open.
They walked down the long hallway and outside, where they were greeted by Jack.
"Why are you standing so close to my daughter, McKay?" Jack asked.
"No reason, Sir," Rodney muttered as he relucantly stepped away from her.
Jack merely shook his head and looked at Caitlin. "I just wanted to say hi before all of you went to the motel. So, um, hi!" he said before pausing for a moment. "How's Maggie?"
Caitlin rolled her eyes and shook her head. "She's fine, Dad. I think she might be dating one of the botanist now," she said with a mischievous look before getting into the van.
"Wait...what?!" Jack asked.
Caitlin merely waved at him and settled herself in her seat. Once the rest of them were in, and she made sure Rodney didn't sit by her, they were on their way to the motel as Alex happily babbled about swimming in the pool, while Fred continued to stare at them.
