Once their children, along with Erin, were gone, Caitlin found herself snuggling in her husband's arms. She hated to see them go but knew she would see them soon enough. So, after giving Rodney a soft smile, she turned and watched John and Fred say goodbye to their own children.
"I love you. The both of you," Fred said as she pulled Chase and Meredith into her arms.
"We love you too, Mom," Meredith quietly said before she kissed her cheek. She then stepped back and allowed Chase to do the same before she reached down and took his hand.
"Bye, Mom. And remember - less fighting with Uncle Rodney," Alex said before she gave her mom a tight hug. "I love you."
"Love you too," Fred said. She let her daughter go before watching all of them disappear. She leaned against her husband and softly sighed as the bridge and teleporter shut down.
"Could you take this apart?" Rodney asked as he rubbed his forehead. "I-I have something I need to do."
"Sure," Tim said before his wife and him moved over to the bridge to disconnect it.
"I'm hungry," Caitlin announced.
"Didn't you eat Rodney's jelly donut this morning, along with mine?" Fred asked as she raised her eyebrows.
"She ate mine too!" Tim said as he looked up.
Caitlin rolled her eyes before she looked at Carson. She let out a dramatic sigh and shook her head. "They make it sound like me eating their donuts is such a crime. I was still hungry and I asked nicely!" she said with a nod.
Fred cleared her throat. "You threatened Rodney with bodily harm if he didn't hand his over," she then looked at John and Carson. "I thought there was going to be blood spilled!"
