Fred turned around and felt her mouth drop open. She wondered if any of them saw how much the woman before them looked like Laura. Fred glanced at John and then looked back as more of the villagers showed up. Soon, all of them were bowing before Rodney. "Rodney," Fred muttered. "Say something to them."
Rodney seemed a little flustered and rubbed his face. "Stand up. Why, um, why don't you show us your village," he said.
The red head woman nodded and told the rest to go back to work. She then looked to Rodney again. "I wish to show you everything we've done," she said as she motioned for them to follow her into the village.
Fred stayed close to her husband and felt a little creeped out by all the paintings of Rodney around the village. "So, Helena...how long has your village been here?" she asked.
Helena looked over her shoulder and smiled. "For a very long time. We had another Oracle at one time but about ten thousand years ago, they stopped communicating with use," she explained. She came to a building and ushered all of them in. "Our communication station is in here. Also, we have built something that we know will please you." They stepped inside and walked down a long hallway. "After our last Oracle left, we continued to do what he told us to, and didn't advanced at all. Then two years ago, we were granted a new Oracle, who changed the name of our country."
"10,000 years ago. That was during the war with the Wraith," Ronon said.
Soon, Helena was walking them into a large room with a table, which held a computer. Rodney went over to it to scan it. When he was finished, he turned around and nodded. "This is how they're communicating with us and vice versa," he said.
Fred took out her own scanner and started to walk around the room. As she stepped in front of a door, her scanner peaked. Furrowing her brow, she turned and looked at Helena. "What's behind this door?" she asked.
Several of the men came over to Fred and pulled her away from the door as Helena hurried over to it. "That's our surprise for the Oracle. It is not yours to see!" she angrily said.
"Well, good for you. Now let me go," Fred hissed as she tried to pull away from the men.
