"We need to get weapons," John said as they ran through the hallway from the detention area. Of course, because they had thought this would be a quick and easy teleport, they hadn't brought any with them.
Up ahead, he saw someone running down the hall, so he went to the nearest door and opened it before shoving Carson and Rodney inside. They waited until the person had passed before looking outside.
"They probably heard Fred...alien Fred...whatever she is now," John said. "We need to get to the armory because I have a feeling that we're going to be part of a hunt."
They continued down the hall and up a level. They had just reached the armory when a siren sounded throughout the city. Looking up, John cursed as he grabbed a P-90 from its holder and handed it to Carson.
"Guess they know we're free," the other man said.
"Yep." He paused for a moment, once again hearing Fred's voice in his mind, telling him that they knew how to get them out and they were coming to get them. He didn't understand what was going on and how he was hearing her, but he knew it was her. It was her and not the alien her. "I love you too, Fred."
"What?" Rodney asked.
"They know how to get us out of here. We just have to hold on until they can," John told them.
"Right..."
"Oh, shut it, Rodney," Carson said.
"We should probably be back up near the Gate room, though. Come on. Let's go."
