Fred looked over at Teyla as she broke and furrowed her brow. If the ancients had brought it there, then there was a chance it really was a dinosaur. Ignoring Rodney, Fred pursed her lips together. "So it really was a dinosaur if the legend is true. But that's still pushing it. There's no way it could've survived this long," she said as her mind went into overdrive at all the possibilities.
"Not if they brought another one with for mating purposes," Rodney said.
"It would've had to be more than two," Carson said as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on the table. "Genetically speaking, the offspring would've died if they kept coming from the same bloodline. It's ingenious, really. Take a dying animal and place it in another galaxy to preserve it."
"What do you think we should do?" Lorne asked as he looked over at John. "I know SGC will see the footage. Do you think they'll have us go back and kill them, sir?"
Fred pursed her lips and shook her head. "They can't kill them! They aren't doing anything to us," she said as she looked over at John. "It wasn't their fault we just showed up. They were doing what came natural. And it's not like they're building ships and are planning to attack us. Can't we just leave them alone?"
