Who: James Potter & Eliot Waugh
When: Backdated to Saturday, Feb 10, at 1
Where: Eliot's apartment
What: Lunch
Rating/Warning: Probably low?
It was easier to convince Regulus to babysit again than James had thought it would be and Harry seemed to enjoy spending time with new people which was good for both of them. It meant the eventual separation that came with Harry going off for his first year of preschool wouldn’t be as hard on the little guy and James got to spend time with other people. Well, people who weren’t the miniature versions of his friends from home. As much as he loved them it still felt odd to hang about with literal teenagers even if he wasn’t that much older than them. He told himself that was the reason he had all but jumped at Eliot’s lunch invitation. It wasn’t just because his new friend was handsome, charming, and fun to be around.
He didn’t dress up since it was a casual thing but he tried to look a little more presentable than normal. Which meant he tried not to look like someone who had spent his morning chasing a toddler around the flat. His hair was still an unfortunate mess, sticking up in different directions, but he had accepted that losing battle years ago and just hoped it looked more windswept than disaster. He only stopped for a moment to, once again, fret over the slightly oversized maroon jumper he was wearing before heading out. He had to make sure it actually was clean free of any sort of mystery stains. He liked Eliot and wanted to hang out with him more. He doubted that would happen if he looked like a mess.
The walk to Eliot’s flat wasn’t a very long one, most of the flats were located in the same area, but James took his time. He enjoyed the chance to be out and about without having an errand to run, a job to get to, or the promised park to visit. It was rare that he had moments like these so it was best to enjoy them while he had the chance.
Making his way up to Eliot’s flat, he took a moment to try and tame his hair again, before knocking.
