The Hanged Man was coming together nicely. By the weekend they'd be ready to open. Really all they had left was the little details. The important things already stood in place. Things like the bar, the tables, the rum. There was nothing left to do for the day and everyone who had been helping them get the bar together had left for the night. That just left Hook and Isabela remaining. It wasn't usual for them to spend the night with each other after a day of work, in one cabin or another, but tonight was different. Grabbing a bottle of rum and two glasses, Hook headed over to the table that Isabela was seated at. He set the glasses down before grabbing the cork of the bottle with his teeth and popping it open. He then poured them each a glass and the sat down across from her. It was clear that during the time they spent together that they were two of a kind in so many ways, from the way they operated to the way they managed to keep themselves closed off even while freely offering themselves to each other. And it seemed that everyone knew that not only were he and Isabela partners in this tavern, but that they were often bed companions. He knew that some thought Isabela was sleeping with everyone who crossed her path, but so far it had only been himself and Jack, and truthfully Killian was not worried about Jack for it was his bed Isabela kept coming back to. No, it was her association with him that worried him. "We should have a talk, luv," Hook commented before taking a drink of the rum, enjoying the burn as it rolled down his throat. She needed to know who and what to be on the look out for. He supposed he owed her the way of it as well. |
