There's universes where people can fly, turn into monsters, or have tiny monsters in balls. Why isn't there one where math homework does itself?

[Beacon Hills People]
Who is even still here? Scott's gone, Derek's gone. I saw Lydia say something, so she's still here, Cora's here, Ms. McCall's here. Allison? Stiles?

It's fine if Peter's gone.
[/Beacon Hills]

[Allison]
Do you want to stay here? Until Scott gets back, I mean. In his room. Since we're both just rattling around, I thought maybe it'd be better. Or I could stay there, for a while. I hate when it's empty.
[/Allison]

[Kitty Pryde]
Hi. I just thought I'd see if you were okay, or needed anything, since Derek's not here. I think that makes us pack by proxy? Or I would if I knew how the rules actually worked.

Math isn't so bad. Do you need some help?

( Isaac )
I'm okay, mostly. It really sucks, but I'm dealing. Living with Peter, without Derek here, is interesting, but we haven't killed one another yet.

Yes. It's okay. I'm just complaining.

[Kitty]
I know. I'm sorry. Scott's mom's upset, too. Not that you're Derek's mom.

I think he wants him alive, but if it makes you feel better, I don't think anyone would mind you kicking the crap out of Peter, if it helps?

Well, if you do need help, you only have to ask.

( Isaac )
Definitely not. I hope that she's okay.

I should probably find a different place, but I don't want to assume that Derek's not coming back.

Thanks.

[Kitty]
I think so. She'll just miss him. But he may be back, too.

You could just find somewhere else and if he comes back, he can come stay with you? He's not actually all that picky about where he lives. It used to be a train.

From my extremely limited experience, you don't want inanimate objects doing anything animate. Your homework starts off doing itself, and then it tries to murder you. Not fun for anyone.

Well, everything tries to kill me eventually, so at least the math would be done first.

I told Clint I needed my bow to defend myself against math!

Hey, if the math turns murderous, no one will expect us to do it, probably.

I don't know. The teachers here all seem kind of evil.

Nah. Evil teachers make you like them and are kind of weirdly hot. These aren't evil. Just way too interested in homework that doesn't matter because we're in a magic shoebox town where the only college will take us just so we have something to do.

I'll remember to be wary of strangely hot teachers then. There's always the possibility that we could end up back home. Though... school probably won't be a priority if that happens to me. So, yeah, I guess it doesn't matter.

You might be safe, but the trade off is pretty crappy, since everything is terrible where you're from. The hot teacher who wanted to kill everyone wasn't fun, either.

Eh, you survive. I'm sorry you had an attractive teacher who wanted to kill everyone.

It's okay. It sucked mostly for Derek, since he was the one she was kind of dating, before we found out about the murder thing.

If you find a way to get math homework to do itself, let me know.

I'll put up a how-to. Even if everyone's saying it'll lead to it murdering people. Half of us are used to murder attempts anyway.

Doing math homework myself makes me want to murder someone. How would that be any different?

I guess most people are usually less murderous.

We can be murderous together?

Hey, you said homework made you want to murder. I just went with the theme.

Sure, we'll make that the fallback plan.
