Title: Failed Reassurance

Summary: George finally decides to talk.



“I promised him that I’ll never let anyone hurt him,” he said for about the millionth time since Harry cornered him in his own empty, alcohol-filled flat and forced him to talk. Despite George’s lies to his family and friends, he failed to reassure one person that he was alright.

His body became rigid in Harry’s arms as he gave into his hold. More tears began to prickle and burn the back of his eyes before Harry felt warm tears seep through his t-shirt.

As George let out a frustrated, heart-clenching yell, Harry knew that there will never be a real smile to cross George’s lips ever again.
