Who: Alec Tremont and Mickey O'Hare
When: Friday, May 21, 2096
Where: Sea-Tac Airport
What: Alec arrives from Boston to meet Jimmy. Except not.
Status: Closed, Complete

Alec had been aware of the reinstatement of the Wild Card Acts, but only peripherally. None of his current crowd had a wild card, at least that he knew of, so it didn't have any immediate impact on him.

Then he'd gotten an email from Jimmy Banks, who he hadn't heard from in well over a year, and who he'd never been particularly close with in the first place. They'd worked together a few times on consulting gigs, but he wouldn't say they were friends, exactly.

Still, the proposition was interesting. Somehow Jimmy had gotten caught up in a group of wild cards that were being protected from the Acts by some kind of rogue senator. They were supposed to somehow sway public opinion, and apparently Jimmy thought he could be of help.

Alec figured that being able to insert things into the media certainly couldn't hurt. So he'd gotten on a plane from Boston and, after several tiresome confrontations with airport security over his tech, arrived in the Sea-Tac airport.

The trouble was, he couldn't find Jimmy anywhere, and he was starting to get annoyed.

"Delightful. Who's in charge?"

"Jimmy's left you her information; you can get in contact with her for more details." Mickey wasn't going to say her name if Jimmy hadn't already. That was for the two of them to hash out.

"Do you know where he left the information? Because I would love the chance to speak to her about all of this."

That took more thought, scrolling through memories and notes and trying to find the one bit that mentioned where Jimmy had set a chip. "Upstairs. Third room, left. It's empty, there's a desk, it's in the drawer. Encrypted to you. Should-- should have everything you need." Mickey's voice was remote, only half paying attention as he listened to the information inside his head.

"Where do you go?" Alec asked, leaning forward to peer at him. "You're obviously not here. Where are you?"

Mickey blinked, not understanding the question at first. He came back to reality slowly, rewinding what he'd heard so he could figure it out. "Here." He pushed at his ear, trying to get rid of the flood of information Jimmy had set free. "Can't go anywhere else."

"Mm. I suppose you can't, at that." He got up, grabbing his bags. Something in him seemed to soften, just for a second. "Thank you for picking me up." And then he turned and headed up the stairs.
