Girls Night Out Part II: When Zombies Hit On You (Zombies, Lee)
So Lee and Catwoman had been holed up in the bar for about a week now.

With the people they had saved, they'd been able to keep the zombies at bay.

But now, they were running out of food. (Salty snacks weren't all that wonderful for anyone.) So Catwoman was going to look for food across the rooftops. Lee had been worried about the plan at first, but Catwoman knew her way across the rooftops... she just hoped she could find some food for the rest of them. Or at least a close safe-haven.

Catwoman was now about 3 rooftops away from the bar building - and there were zombies on the streets as far as the eye could see. Not a whole lot else. She was trying to get her bearings.

The first thing they needed was food. About four blocks away she saw a corner grocery store. Selina made it to the store and saw that there were a few zombies milling around outside, but it didn't look like there was anything or anyone inside.

She gathered all of the groceries she could and after her third trip up the stairs she was tired, but she figured she was good. It was then that a zombie came for her. She was much quicker than the creature, but it was able to make a grab for her mask. She screamed and ran up the stairs, throwing cans of food at the monster. She slammed the door to the rooftop shut, found a wrench and was able to make sure the door would never open again.

Carrying a large amount of canned food from rooftop to rooftop was rather difficult. But she was determined and hungry. It wasn’t until she reached the rooftop of the bar building that she realized that her mask was off. She swore and called down the stairs for Lee.

“Lee, I need you up here. I was attacked.”

"Good." She nodded, relieved that there would be no unpleasant disposal. Yet, anyway. Things so rarely worked out well for her and those around her. Lee, the eternal pessimist.

"Um." She looked around for anything vaguely mask-like, or barring that, spare clothes. "Fuck. I do not fucking need this right now," she muttered under her breath (which reeked of beer, as usual). "Hold on."

She put the cans down and ran back down the stairs, ransacking rooms and piles of junk as she went. "Hey, that's mine!" said a woman when Lee plucked a scarf off of the floor.

"You're donating to the cause. Shut up or leave." Lee was in no mood to argue, and the woman, having been one of the ones who had seen a glimpse of her initial attack on the zombies, shut up and sulked to herself.

When Lee came back up to the roof, she was carrying an armful of cloth: multicolored scarves, bar rags, socks, torn clothes, the works. "I'm not sure if any of it matches, but it's not like beggars can be choosers."

"Thanks Lee, and you're right, one really can't complain." She started going through the pile, finding the scarf and putting it across her face. She figured that if people were really smart they'd figure out who she really was. On the other hand, everyone was in shock, and she didn't think they'd be able to pick out anyone from a line-up.

She grabbed some of the canned food. "Let's go down and feed people. I'm ready to eat something that's not salted."

((Happy belated Thanksgiving!))

Lee nodded at the scarf, not bothering to hide the smirk on her face. "You know, with all the time your face is covered up, it's a miracle it doesn't look like a damn pizza. Whatever product you use on it, it's a good investment."

She gathered up the remainder of the cans and started down the stairs. "Yeah, because creamed corn is so much better." It was better than endless bar nuts, actually, but Lee being Lee, she wasn't happy unless she was bitching about something. "Hey, people! Food's here. Anyone rushes or steals from someone else, you get my fist in your face and you get to suck the month-old mushy lima beans through a straw."
