"I would love to." Lief snapped, not angry with her, but at the situation. Both men flinched a bit at the fire, surely if she hurled it it would destroy them both. Eric was confident that Baba would not do such a thing, and his belief was solidified when she sent it back away.
Lief placed a hand on Eric's shoulder, attempting to push away, but his hand sank in and Eric's body swallowed it. Absorbed it. They began to pull together, each trying to go in his own way, but it seemed to just draw them closer. As they paid attention only to their upper halves, their legs had combined entirely. The two men were now two torsos upon a singular pair of legs, bent in seemingly impossible directions.
"Baba." Eric said, giving his attention to her. "My wife. I do love you."
He was abnormally calm for a moment, ignoring what was happening to him and his mirror. It didn't hurt. He didn't really feel much of anything physically. But he could not hold back the confusion and need to survive as himself for long, and he returned his mind to the occurrence.
They struggled, trying to part from one another, doing not much of anything at all.
