Eric stopped kissing Lief at the words she spoke, at the concern in her voice but also in the bond that tied them so tightly to one another. He frowned as she moved even further away and attempted to look at her.
His face more rolled along Lief's than it did turn easily. He wanted the other version of himself to back away so that he could attend to his wife and her worries, but it was not happening. When he placed his hand upon the chest of the other, it sank in considerably. More than a hand would move the flesh of a human, and much more than a hand should have been able to move the flesh of a vampire.
Looking at Baba, then turning to look at his partner again, Eric noted what appeared to be a bridge of flesh, but it seemed to melt away and he thought for a moment that it might have been a trick of the light.
He attempted to pull his hand away from Lief and strings of the other man followed him. Confused, Eric brought his other hand back from its outstretched position, and it brought Lief's along with it. Their arms seemed to be one arm now, melted together like a doll left in the sun too long, with eight fingers to it and only one wrist.
