Bruce stepped back from Enigma, looking her over as she stood there, noticing the way she was holding her arm which seemed to be fractured. Or part of it did.
Bruce glanced over at Eddie, whom seemed to be acting very strangely. This was about the closest Bruce had ever been to that man without being attacked or shouted at. What happened to make him that way, Bruce didn't care as long as Eddie stayed that docile.
"Where have you been? I've been worried sick!" Bruce said, curling an arm around Enigma's shoulders once she leaned against him, being gentle with her. He was going to have to set her arm. This girl was aching to be in a full body cast at some point in her life the way she was going.
Eddie finally looked over at his daughter, eyes narrowing upon seeing her so close to Bruce. He couldn't lose anyone else today, so instead of letting them be, Eddie reached out, grasping Enigmas good wrist, pulling his daughter out of Bruce's arms. "Mine. Go away." He snapped, moving to put his own arms around the girl, daring Bruce to take her from him. She was all he had left and he needed her, despite hating her. He could set that aside for a bit, but he needed her attention. He didn't have anyone else.
