Seeking Help (Tinkerbell)
Rufio was more miserable than he could ever remember being.

It was bad enough that he'd been caught by some weird old man who came in every once in a while and gassed him, then asked him what was coming out of the dark to scare him, but even the lulls in between the visits and the effects wearing off the young Pan couldn't get his mind together enough to escape. Couldn't even capture a happy thought to try flying out. The "resting room" he was locked in had no weapons, no secret passages... it was plain and ugly and boring. He didn't know how to work with that.

Thankfully there was at least a window, and that was cracked open, so when he had enough of his senses to do so he went to it, looking out towards the City and letting the cool air try to wake him up so the nightmares didn't hound him as long.

He closed his eyes, resolutely not crying. Crying was for the younger boys, and girls. And pirates when they got hurt badly. The Pan never cried, it was practically a rule.

He did wish, though. He knew if Tinkerbell could find him he'd work something out with her, hatch some escape plot. And then he could leave, tell Enigma that her fathers were the worst parents even he had ever heard of, and then lock himself away in his own little Neverland and plot his revenge.

First, though, he needed his fairy.

She nodded at Rufio, unwilling to argue just then as she usually would be when he told her to do something she didn't want to do. She definitely didn't want to leave her friend there with a scary old man, especially not the one that put him there, but she didn't really have a voice and at least for now he was safe.

She nodded, and tried to imagine the faces of the people that Rufio was describing, but she was drawing blanks because she didn't know any of them. She could ask her friend Jack for help, but she didn't know if he would come considering he and Rufio didn't get along. She knew Christine, but what she was going to do about this, Tink didn't know. This was all so frustrating. She hated being so little and feeling so useless.

"But I don't know any of them, Rufio!" She said, fluttering back to the window, "But I will try to find them." It was going to take her a while, she was only one tiny fairy, but she would figure something out. She had to. She needed him.

Rufio moved as close to her as he knew she was comfortable, and slowly nodded, looking back at the door. "I know you will, Tink," he said, and meant it. He trusted her. If she couldn't do it, then it was just impossible to be done.

"Enigma is at the opera, and the opera house a lot," he said, the only person he knew how to locate. The others all came in and out of his life almost at a whim, but Enigma was a little more constant than all that. "She's got red hair and she sings, she's one of the stars of the show."

She was a little bit scared, this place seemed so wrong for both of them to be held within it, though she technically could leave at any point she wanted to. She wished she had a way to make him tiny, like her, so they could fly through the bars and back to their new home. She wanted to save him, and to make him proud of her, so she was going to try her hardest to help him. Tiny as she was.

She listened to Rufio talk about the opera, and although she had no idea what an opera was, she would figure it out. She could read, after all, Peter had taught her, so as long as it said Opera on the outside of the building, she'd be able to locate it. "I'll find her....Enigma....and I'll bring her here to help you!" She said softly, moving to hug Rufio's neck, wings fluttering quickly.

She pulled back from her friend, and moved to the window, standing between the bars, looking back at Rufio for a moment, sadly. "I'll find her and we will get you out of here." She said, waving at her friend, before fluttering out of the window, determined to help him. She couldn't let him be trapped in there. It wasn't a good place.

Rufio nodded, happy that at least somebody knew he was here. He went to the window, watching her race away, feeling both happy and sad to see her leave.

"Bye, Tink," he said quietly, then turned and moved to the corner furthest from the door, staring at it and sitting down to make himself as small as possible while he waited to see what Enigma could do.
