"That's unfortunate. Screaming, pointing, and staring by idiots shouldn't bother someone as unique as you." It wasn't said in some snippy fashion, and it wasn't overly sweet. The crone just might have meant it. Her lips curved when she saw the eyes, and she gave a slight nod.
"Very unique. The only creatures I've met with similar coloring had low IQ and smelled awful. They also didn't bother wearing much in the way of clothes." Ogres and trolls, a real pain in the ass sometimes. She had liked the wooden army a little more, but they could give a girl splinters if she wasn't careful.
"How is it that I haven't met you before? Have you been here long? I should have known someone like you existed." He had magic, or sort of magic, but it wasn't her kind. If he had been anything like what she was used to, she was certain she'd have recognized that he was around before.
"I'm Red." She didn't offer her hand; she just bowed her head slightly, her weight shifting slightly to look as if she almost curtsied.
