The Joke's On You (Joker, Kitty)
After the tremors, Dinah found herself in... a city? She looked around at the buildings, even recognizing some. Others, however, were completely out of place. Where was she?

It wasn't Gotham or Metropolis or any other city she knew about, even if she did see Fieri brothers on the corner.

Dinah did a double take as the aroma of home-made Italian food wafted toward her.

"I have to be dreaming," she told herself.

All the same, just in case she wasn't dreaming, she moved closer to the restaurant. Her mouth was watering at the idea of eating pasta again. Hell, at this point she would take any food that wasn't postapocalyptic food. If chocolate and wine were added to the mix, she might just have to conclude that she'd died and ended up in some sort of Heaven.

Dinah cringed away from the knife. It wasn't a conscious decision to do so, but he had already done quite a bit of damage and she knew the Joker too well. He didn't make idle threats.

She was at the mercy of the newcomer, whether she liked it or not. She just hoped that the young woman could handle whatever Joker had to throw at her.

Kitty had gotten closer, close enough anyway. She just had to hope that this place didn't have spots that killed her ability too.

"What is it with bad guys and talking?" She really wasn't expecting an answer. "Think you've done enough to her, thanks. Hold your breath." It could have been to either of them, but she hoped the woman would do just that. A small jump, her hand on the woman's arm was all she needed, and soon the two were phasing out of the apartment and down. Kitty didn't know what was beneath them, but she hoped it was better than this.

It would take her some time to figure out where to go, but she moved the injured woman as quickly as possible, trying to make sure she didn't pass out from lack of oxygen. Kitty didn't often need to worry about someone breathing, but she did and got them downstairs to what looked like a garage. The landing wasn't as soft as she'd prefer, but it wouldn't do more damage.

"Okay...we-" She smiled when she saw the muscle car. "Sweet. Hope you don't mind bleeding in your car. Hope you're awake." The goal: get bleeding woman in the car and to a hospital, then try to find the psycho and beat the ever loving snot out of him.

"I like the sound of my own voice." Jack was still smiling. "And it's more fun when they think they know what to expec... oh."

He watched the two of them, the ghost girl had just made Dinah into a ghost as well and they fell through the floor. They were just gone, like that. It was really kind of amazing, actually. Jack was a little pissed about the loss of the bird, but in light of what he'd just seen, he couldn't really be as angry as he should have been.

"Well that was neat." He told the empty room. Then he left, not caring about whatever blood and leftover rope might still be there. Let the blonde version of the bird deal with it all.
