Lorne picked up a Sea Breeze from a tray a waiter walking past held.
"It's not the future. It's just the path," he said. "I'm an empath demon. I can see things, sometimes. But what I see? It doesn't always happen. It can change."
He took a drink.
Lindsey arched an eyebrow. "Back home, yeah," the lawyer said. "Used to come by after work, entertain the masses. Since I've been here, though, just the one time."
"Hey," Lorne said, brightly. "You two kids singing tonight? Or just hanging out?"
The look he shot Lindsey made it seem like Lindsey'd better sing.
