Pizza Day in the Park (Toot)
His encounter with Lestat had left him wondering. He had not seen the other vampire since to ask him if there had been changes in his own life. Eric had not discovered any new powers himself yet. It would make him very angry if he'd done all that and gone through the pathetic and annoying moments of lust for nothing.

He supposed he was going to have to test things.

If he was going to test things, he would need Baba there, just in case. Not to mention, she would probably have better ideas of what to test.

For now, though, he was taking another day just for the sun. Things were back to normal, it seemed. As normal as normal could get in this place, anyway. There had been no threats to his person, despite what Baba had told him, and he hadn't been able to happen upon Hank himself to ask or explore other options.

In his stroll through the park, Eric discovered a strange thing. There seemed to be a celebration going on, complete with a temporary pizza cart. There was a big, but portable oven, and a counter on wheels. The crowd seemed to be excited by this, as there were many of them crushed up in a haphazard line. Pizza in the park. It was amazing the things that humans found fun.

He began to turn toward it, to get closer to the crowd to observe them.

"Elf-struck," the fae echoed. "It's like...being high on glamour." Perhaps a simplistic explanation, but it would get the point across. Erik's own description only confirmed that--and heaven help Erik Northman if he ever met one of the Sidhe.

"It can be intoxicating to mortals as well. Makes them do stupid things," he said, a little imperiously, "The Sidhe would use that to their advantage."

"There is no advantage for your kind in the way that I'm talking about." Eric was half warning the fairy, he knew - especially given the encounter with the pink haired girl - that he could do almost anything. He had, he thought of it now with extreme shame, played fetch with the girl's shoe, just to be around her. He had kept himself from the most extreme action, but barely. Doing that was much, much harder around Toot-toot and his full blooded musk.

"Where I come from, fairies have been driven toward extinction by vampires. It's said that some still survive, but not in the numbers they once held, and they certainly come nowhere near us."

The two he'd met here in the City were the closest he'd gotten to any fairy in at least a hundred years. Maybe more. He'd tasted them in his life, and had all the same issues with stopping at just a sip that every vampire had. It was impossible to do so without the interjection of another party. Even then, unless it was somebody strong enough to separate the two and keep them apart, there was still risk.

"Take care that you never bleed when I'm around."

If the fae in Erik's world were mostly changelings of mixed blood, with no knowledge of how to used what power they had, then no wonder they were so near to extinction. Toot was fairly certain that Eric would be no match for Queen Mab, or Titania, but Mab and Titania were not here. He was. He did not have their power, and the tall vampire was easily three times his size.

He decided that discretion was the better part of valor.

"You say that as if I'll ever let you find me again."

"I felt you before you showed yourself." Eric offered. "I know your smell now. There's only two of you here, you stand out."

He closed his eyes, distracted by the wings and everything else this fairy had to offer. He wanted very much to just grab onto an arm and latch in with his fangs. He was one of very few vampires that he knew with the self control he had.

"I'm not trying to threaten you." He said, his voice soft and strained. "I'm trying to make sure that I am not personally responsible for the extinction of fairies here in the City. I enjoy what you are, having your scent around me. I don't wish for you or the pink haired girl to be in any danger. When I say that you should take care to not bleed around me, I mean that I don't know if I would have such control if your blood was in the open."

Eric opened his eyes. "The girl has a dust that makes me docile. I don't think that's what she expected it to do. Maybe docile isn't quite the right word." He thought of his insistence about her sweater, the way he had followed her. Wanted to roll in her clothing. "If you talk to her, perhaps she can explain it better."

He stopped breathing, stopped taking in the fairy smell, it was becoming too much. "Your scent is stronger than hers is. Full blooded fairies attract us much quicker and are in more danger. I am the only vampire from my world here at this moment, except for the dancers in my club, but they are all young. Stay away from Fangtasia nevertheless."

Any who knew him might be stunned by the amount of information and helpfulness he was giving to the fairy, but he truly did not want to see them gone.

Toot-toot just laughed. Ask the half-pixie to explain something she herself didn't even understand? No. Meghan wouldn't be explaining anything. She was the one who was full of questions for Toot. He moved backward a bit, and rested on a tree branch, like a child on a swing. He tucked his wings behind his back.

"I have no reason to hang around Fangtasia, Eric Northman," he said. He wouldn't say 'thank you.' It was against fae culture, and implied that one owed someone a favor. But that didn't mean he wouldn't take advantage of the information. "I'm not that stupid."

"Good." The younger vampires that he'd hired to work weren't as controlled as he was.

Eric wondered if Lestat had similar reactions to the fairy, or if he even knew they existed. Did he have experience with them from his own world? It was a question that Eric had never thought to ask.

"You are very distracting." He couldn't remember what he'd come out for today. If anything. He just knew that he wanted this fairy more than he had the girl. It was very difficult to stand his ground and not move closer to the tree.

"Perhaps you should run along before something happens that I cannot control." He forced his eyes off of the boy when he felt his fangs pop. "I would go myself, but I think if I move it will just be in your direction."

"Very well," Toot replied, retracting the blade of his box cutter again--which had popped out just a fraction of a second after Eric's fangs. He resolved to add a pointy stick to his arsenal in the very near future, in case any other vampires caught his scent, and decided to be less polite than the former sheriff of area five.

"I like my ichor where it is."

And he vanished with a twinkle of purple light.
