Bring on the good news (Jensen)
The brainy Texan curled up under her covers; it'd taken her a while to fall asleep. She'd fallen asleep staring at the phone she was actually waiting for it to just disappear. They always disappeared, always went away. Of course, she never saw them disappear; it was usually when she was asleep or not looking. They always went poof. She didn't want to wake up, open her eyes, and see that the small phone was gone. She didn't want to see the pager sitting there all by itself.

She groaned softly and finally gave up waiting. Plus, she was really needing to slip to the ladies'. She squeezed her eyes closed tightly and, with another grown, opened her eyes. She had to blink a few times to make sure she was seeing things clearly. She nearly whooped in excitement, but instead, she took care of the usual wakeup routine, a bounce in her step.

Pocketing the pager and the phone, she checked the time. She's slept that long? The day was halfway over; it was after lunch already! She didn't know if she should call him or not; no, she'd surprise him. She stopped long enough to pick up a couple sandwiches, two bottles of coke (or pop), and a few cookies. Yes, that would be nice.

Fred bounced a little in the elevator as she rode it up. As soon as it let her out, she smiled brightly.

"I bring food!" Yes, that seemed like a good way to open it.

Fred hadn't had much in the way of overly happy lately; she had some good moments, but this was a wonderful breakthrough. She shifted a little, trying so very hard to be good. They'd been taking it slowly, and she understood; but...

With another whimper and a slight pout, she finally broke the kiss, blushing. She gave one or two more tiny kisses, not wanting to seem like a tease; she hadn't meant to, not exactly. It was just very exciting.

"So.." Her voice more on the breathy side of things. "Mmm. I thought..." Just another sneaky little kiss wouldn't hurt. She hadn't exactly gotten off his lap, or leaned too far away. Those little kisses demanded she stayed close.

"I thought you could set something up for me?" Her lips were so close to his, then she realized something, leaning back. "Oh, just so you know, I'm not kissing you so that you will help me with something to take home. I'm kissing you because I want to kiss you. That's all I think about sometimes, is kissing you. And how you'd look in a shower. Or a pool, though I've heard it's not very good in a pool or a tub. Water's not a very good lubricant. Olive oil may be. And then there's the elevator. Not sure why, or the couch, your bed, my bed, my couch. Under the desk in my office." Yes, her mind had wandered away from the possible tech goodness. She was definitely not there to see if he'd help her make something; she was there for him and happy to share the good news.

His brain was shut off. No thinking now, kthnxbai! She'd flipped a switch with all of this kissing, wriggling and bouncing stuff, not to mention the breathy reaction and apparently being able to get her hands on technology for any length of time got her motor running. It made Jensen think of a few inventions that ran on electric impulses and what she'd do with them. *AHEM!* Her listing off where her imagination had gone and how often just kind of pushed things over the edge.

"Shut up." His own voice was husky, something of a growl maybe but he wasn't going to let her keep talking anymore and put a stop to that with a more involved and leading kiss as he stood up with his hands under her thighs to carry her wherever the hell there was a flat and mostly comfortable surface.

Fred looked shocked for all of a second or two; the few brief moments it took for him to tell her to shut up and to kiss her. She didn't fight it. So much for going slow; thankfully, she was too busy to say anything about that.

It was some time later that the very satisfied, for the moment - Jake Jensen had no idea what he'd gotten himself into with this one - that a very satisfied Fred stretched against the man she was happy to have told good news to. She nuzzled at his jaw, her body curling up to snuggle into.

"Way better than over there." She wasn't really looking where she was motioned as her hand escaped the confines of the blanket to wave in some other direction. Said hand was soon under the blanket again to trace patterns, probably some proof, on his stomach. She had that wistful sigh of afterglow in her voice.

"Very much better." She nipped his jaw and giggled.

That was cool. It was cooler to be laying there on the cot that was honestly too small for both of them with her wrapped up in his arms. He had a lazy, contented smirk on his face that held a touch of awe to it, but also with a hint of AND THE TOUCHDOWN IS GOOD! in there somewhere.

The skin of his stomach tightened for the light touch of her fingers, but it was only fair since he was tracing lazy circles against her arm with his own.

"Making with the words thing is off line at the moment. Please reboot and try again later." He grinned lazily at her.

Fred giggled, shifting enough to press a kiss to his lips, but she didn't push it further than that, not yet. She just curled up to him. She couldn't help that her mind was going again, and she was trying to be respectful. For now she'd just use his body as a place to trace notes. She was even behaving by keeping her hand on his midsection.

"No shutting down. Mm, it's not sleepy time yet." She closed her eyes and just cuddled, a foot lightly brushed along his, but she didn't move more than that.

"We'll go slower next time." She giggled softly. That could mean so many things, and this time she caught it.

If he had to be honest, totally open and honest, this was the part he liked the best about these situations: the afterglow/snuggling/cool down with each other part. He felt it was the one moment when you really got to see into a person, both of them vulnerable and willingly so.

His chuckle was more of a hitch of his chest with a rumble in it before he turned his head to kiss her hair. "I can do slower. I'm good at slow. People call me slow all the time."

Fred sat up to look at him; it wasn't easy, but she was actually pretty good at doing the whole balancing awkwardly thing. Not that she'd spent much time in this particular situation. Actually this was her first time in this particular situation.

"I like you. I also feel like I could run a marathon." She nodded, smiling. She couldn't decide if she wanted to curl up with him again or start working on something. She opted for curling up again. It was really the only way to go. She hadn't even noticed that her slight sitting up had allowed the blanket to slide down to show more than should probably be shown in semi-public.

"It's been almost five years." She sighed and nuzzled him again. She thought about it again. "No, I take that back, ten year..twelve years." She hid her face as she came to this realization. "Hope I did okay," was mumbled into his skin.

His eyes had gone exactly where the blanket allowed them to go and his brain fried a circuit again. She was talking. He knew she was talking, but the words, they did not compute. Boobs. Fred's boobs that he could touch. Cool!

She rested back down though which helped his mind to refocus. What she said put a smile on his face and answer her the only way he could. He tilted her face towards him with a touch of his fingers to her cheek and kissed her softly.

She was filled with energy perhaps, but he was content right here for once. He had no urge to get up and check the program. No strong want to get back to work. He just wanted to stay right where he was with her right where she was, and maybe, if energy returned to normal levels, he'd try out that slower thing.

"Apparently I should clean the ceiling." He had rested his head back down and was looking upwards. Their two entirely separate conversations made him grin a little.

"Was that what you were focusing on to keep from finishing first?" Fred tried to look up at the ceiling. It meant her body moved along his, a good bit of pressing and brushing. She didn't stay that way for long. She shrugged, snuggling back to him again, giggling.

"Or do you go for baseball statistics?" She wasn't teasing him. Not much. She was actually curious. "I recite pi." See? She would give the answer to her own question. "I like making things last. Especially if it feels good." She mmmmed softly on that last note.

"Unless it's tacos." She shrugged, her eyes closing as she relaxed, or tried to. "You were good, just in case you're wondering."

He grinned for her questions and maybe even blushed a little bit. No one had ever asked him that...who wasn't a guy and they were around a smokey poker table with two fifths of Jack already gone. His chuckle was heard more this time as he hugged her close a little more. "Actually I run through hacking codes I've used against the CIA."

No one had ever come right out and told him that he was good before. Oh, they implied it, or lied with their face and reactions, but never had they flat out said it. He tilted his chin down so he could look at her face, a mystified little smile on his own and it was a moment before he rested his head back down, feeling a little superior. Nicely, though. "Thanks." He rubbed his hand up and down her arm in a soft caress. "I'll have to see about raising that bar to 'oh dear god I can't talk it was that great'."
