Baba just stared at the damn thing. It stood there and, while it didn't have eyes or mouth or ears, looked for all the world like a lost puppy, or chicken. Chick? It was borderline creepy/adorable as it stood there. With a bit of wood groaning, it soon settled down right in front of them, just a few feet away. Staring at them.
The crone, who didn't look so much like a crone, crossed her arms and continued to stare at the cabin. It probably would have wagged its tail had it one. At the moment it was puffing out cheery little puffs of smoke. It waited quietly, watching.
"This is my cabin. It has become..different since it's been here, and I believe the City brought it here to annoy me." Her nails tapped on her bare arms as she watched it. And, the smoke just kept lifting from the chimney.
"Go away. I've no need of you." Her voice wasn't half as cruel as it could have been. The way the cabin sat there with its smoking chimney, now and then a little creak of wood. "I am not staying. Now, go."
The cabin got up. Baba seemed to relax a little, but rather than going away as it had been told, it settled down closer. It was within arm's distance easily. It was not leaving apparently.
