i_ambadluck Short days, long nights [ OPEN ]
The City was decidedly boring. It wasn't the place itself that made Felicia want to bang her head against the wall; she just had nothing to do. There was no one here to work for. Or, at least the kind of work she wanted to do. Fisk wasn't here, so she had no real reason to steal anything. The only reason she'd do it for herself was to be un-bored, but then she'd have no use for what she'd taken. The things she needed she could buy; she hadn't even thought of shoplifting. It was so beneath her.
Felicia had actually been in the City for some time. All of her things were there too, but she hadn’t a thing to do with them. She would sometimes lie in her bed, staring into her closet at the black leather and white fur of her costume, telling herself she might as well go out and do something. Tonight was one of those nights.
Black wig left at home, her platinum hair blew softly in the nights wind. It’d been a while since she was costumed, so it took a little wiggling to get comfortable in the squatted “surveillance” position she’d taken on the building across from the apartments she was living in. Too bad this was turning out to be just as boring as any other day.

Somehow or another, Angel had lost track of Buffy. It was as disconcerting as it was a relief. She was so much older and acted as if seeing him again was nothing new, which he still couldn't wrap his mind around. He had been gone forever. A hundred years? He could feel the time etched in his face. Angel still dreamed of the place he'd been dropped from, the pain and fatigue he'd suffered. He still felt the sword through his abdomen, even though the physical wound had long since healed.
Angel didn't know what to make of Buffy. That didn't mean he didn't worry when she disappeared, despite the whole stabbing thing.
He had taken to the rooftops in hopes of gaining a better view. He knew the chances of him spotting a head of familiar blond hair were slim, but the air felt better higher up. There was no harm in searching.
Angel came upon the crouching woman in his adventures across the rooftops. She wore black leather, but looked extremely bored. Angel thought that was strange in itself--most women he knew who wore black leather were often up to no good and having a great time.
To disturb or not to disturb? He decided to lurk in the shadows a little longer and brood over that question.

Well, she was bored. Debating with oneself has a tendency to make people feel that way. Was she to venture back into her short lived life as shadow lurking vigilante? Or should she venture elsewhere in hopes of finding some sweet loot? Sigh. How do you choose?
A costumed Felicia remained crouched, elbow stacked on a knee, chin atop her hand, as she continued to ponder her situation. Looking down, she fiddled with the grappling hook and cord that was wrapped at her waist. A swing around the block might be nice. She was too busy with her own thoughts to even notice she was being watched by anyone.

"So," Angel said from the shadows. He didn't really like being social. He just wanted to make sure she didn't jump off the ledge...
"Is it a normal thing for people around here to hang out on the roof?" he asked.
And why was it so many women walked around in leather these days?

Her head snapped quickly to the side when she heard the sound of the mans voice. Standing, she turned to face him and cleared her throat. Oh, hey there. Felicia smirked a little at his question, hands settled on her hips as she shifted to a more relaxed stance.
"I'm not sure, but I've always found it relaxing. A confidence boost, too," she nodded some. "Looking down at everyone down there."

"Most people see a ledge, look down and think of how far they could fall," Angel replied. She didn't seem like that type of person at all. He stuck his hands in his pockets and came into the light, or what light there was from nearby signs and obligatory roof lights. Without the shadows he felt less comfortable.
He really needed to find something to do besides lurking in shadows and looking for random people to save. Maybe he should start a business or something. Like a detective agency. He had the trenchcoat...
Nah. Like that would ever happen.
"You wouldn't happen to have spotted any vampires down there would you?"

Felicia shrugged, smirk still in place, "Even if I did fall, I'd land on my feet." A turn to glance behind her over her shoulder, "It isn't too far down, anyway."
She looked back up when he asked his question, raising an eyebrow under her mask as she pushed some loose hair to the side. "No? Granted, I wasn't looking for vampires, either..."

angel's player sucks and apologizes. a lot.
"Well it was worth a try."
Angel's job would've been slightly easier if she had. Since the City seemed to change all the time, finding hideouts and general collectives of his kind was hard. Saving humans was all he had to do around here.
"If you're alright, I think I'll go..." Go and brood. Or walk in dark alleys. Or brood.

"Actually," she said with a pause, moving away from the ledge, "if you don't mind my asking, of course...why are you looking for vampires?" She thought it was a logical question, since, you know, she'd never seen a vampire around here. Or...at all?
