i_lurvejess Challenge # 1 - Felicia & Sam.
who sam and felicia.
what sam bumps into pretty girl, she invited him up to her apartment after he spins a story about dean wanting to move. fun times.
where uhhh. some street.
when today.
SAM·· Leaning back on the car he and his brother shared, Sam had a take-out cup of coffee in his hand and hazel eyes on the building in front of him. He hadn't had a dream for days, but somehow the building in front of him seemed familiar. It didn't look out of the ordinary compared to the rest of the apartments around, but for some reason... He had a vibe about the place. He couldn't say if it was a good vibe or a bad one, though, so he didn't move to go inside. Whatever it was, he couldn't see anything wrong right at that time, so he didn't really move.
He and Dean had come down to this particular neighbourhood so that Dean could visit his favourite coffee shop. He'd said that a friend had showed him the place and that they had amazing coffee, so Sam had just followed without a care. That was, until they passed that building. Since their run-in with Progo, the boys hadn't really seen much supernatural action, but Sam couldn't help but notice that this building was different from the rest.
Lifting his shoulders in a shrug, Sam pushed away from the dark green of the Chevy Impala. Dean had headed home to check if there was anything up with that particular building on the internet while Sam headed back to check out the physical thing. Whatever it was, it wasn't all that important yet, he guessed, and so moved towards the front of the car. And bumped into someone on his way, good job, Sam. "Oh, I'm sorry," he apologized, lifting his eyes to whoever he'd bumped into.
FELICIA·· "Felicia was on her mid-day run, blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail, when she'd turned the corner to her apartment building to see the guy leaning on the car. It was a nice car, she thought to herself. One she wouldn't expect to see here in the City, but, she'd figured it'd gotten pulled in with someone. Most likely the guy leaning on it.
When she'd jogged closer, she thought she'd moved just enough she she wouldn't bump into the guy, but then he moved, and she hadn't noticed in time. By the time she'd realized, it was too late and they'd already collided. Straightening herself out, she looked up to him, shaking her head. "It's fine. I wasn't paying attention."
SAM·· Sam let himself smile at the blonde girl, moving a bit of his dark brown away from his eyes. Did he know her from somewhere? "It was me who walked out in front of you, so don't worry," he assured her, checking that he hadn't spilled any coffee before meeting her eyes again. What the hell, he recognized her but couldn't quite put his finger on it... "Do I know you from somewhere?"
FELICIA·· "She looked him up and down before shaking her head, "Don't think I'd forget a good lookin fella like you."
SAM·· He most certainly blushed at that, laughing it off the smallest bit as he turned his eyes up. After a moment, his nervous and shy eyes cam back to hers. "That's weird," he shrugged, putting a hand in his pocket. "You seem familiar."
FELICIA·· "Felicia smirked a little, eyes darting to the side quickly before moving back to him and leaning forward a bit. "Are you coming on to me?"
SAM·· "No!" He exclaimed, trying not to sound too desperate, but then hit himself mentally. Gosh, Sam, use your brain sometimes. "I mean, uh, no... I just thought I knew you... Sorry." Embarassment for sure.
FELICIA·· "She just sort of grinned, hands settling on her hips. "I was kidding, don't worry about it." Glancing back to the building, she gave it a once over and looked to Sam. "You don't live here, do you? I don't ever remember seeing you around. You waitin' on someone?"
SAM·· Well, phew for the brunette. He'd half expected her to just continue what she was doing before, but apparently she was friendly enough to overlook his awkward moment there. "No, uh. I don't live here," he shook his head, running a hand through unruly hair. "I live down on twenty-third," a nod in the general direction. "Uhh, no. Not really. I used to know someone that lived here." He was lying, but he seemed convincing enough.
FELICIA·· ""Old girlfriend hauntin' ya?" She smirked.
SAM·· Ow went Sam's heart, and he looked a bit pained for only a second. But just one, because he knew too well that he couldn't let himself get emotional about things like that in front of anyone but people he absolutely trusted. Or that knew Jess, of course. "No," came his stale reply, glancing to the building. "Just a friend."
FELICIA·· "Nod nod went Fee, looking back to the building again. "So, just reminiscing or something? It's not that great of a building to look at."
SAM·· "Yeah... I drove by, saw it and just, well, looked." He nodded, leaning a hip againt the car as he turned his eyes back to hers. "Do you live around here?" Let's hope, so he can ask you questions.
FELICIA·· ""I live here," she chuckled.
SAM·· "In this building?" He asked, just to be sure. Glancing to the building again, he furrowed his eyebrows and then turned back to her. "Have you noticed anything weird going on around here lately?"
FELICIA·· "She nodded. "This building. And nothing more unusual than, well, usual. Why?"
SAM·· "Nothin unusual, like," he continued, not answering her why. "Creaking floors? Leaky faucets?" It looked like a pretty new building, so he didn't think that that would be around. "Idunno, weird things."
FELICIA·· "She raised a slender brow, shifting in her stance some, "Leaky faucets are weird? Creaking floors are a sign or age in a building, I wouldn't call any of those things strange."
SAM·· Sam just nodded. He moved to fold his arms over his chest, but remembered the coffee cup. Instead, he just took a drink of it. "Yeah, I guess. So, nothing's strange? Everything's like normal?"
FELICIA·· ""Nothing strange but your questions."
SAM·· "Sorry," he smiled with a shrug, turning back to her. "My brother was looking around the city for a new apartment. Thought he might be interested in a place around here."
FELICIA·· ""Ahh," she nodded, crossing her arms under her chest. "Is he that picky?"
SAM·· "Yeah," he nodded in return, crinkling his nose a bit. "Dean's a bit of a princess, sometimes." Oohhhh.
FELICIA·· "Snizzaps. Felicia laughed some, shrugging. "These apartments are pretty nice. Big rooms, nice furnishing."
SAM·· "Nothing go bump in the night? Dean hates that," he grinned. He's so mean to his brother, but really he loves him. "He's afraid of the dark."
FELICIA·· ""No boogie men that I've experienced. Your brother seems the manly type."
SAM·· "Oh yeah. The regular knight in shining armour." He nodded and smiled, shrugging a bit. "Well, I guess I should let you go... Get back to your run."
FELICIA·· "She shrugged, "I was just coming home, actually. I probably wouldn't have stopped," heh.
SAM·· Sam nodded and smiled a bit, turning to her building again. "Well I'll let you get home, then. Stop wasting your time, and all that." He turned back to her with a very gentlemanly look.
FELICIA·· ""You know," she shifted in her stance again, "if you want, I could show you the apartment." She's not forward. At all.
SAM·· Sam furrowed his brows and was about to say no when he remembered that Dean and him had to explore the building at least once before they could just leave it to shrugs and jokes. So he nodded and shrugged, "Yeah, sure. Might as well scope it out."
FELICIA·· "She nodded, spinning on her heels, "So, what's your name, stranger?" She unclipped her keys from her waist.
SAM·· He made sure that the car was locked before he followed after Felicia, tossing his coffee in the garbage can near her door before putting his hands in his pockets. "Sam," was his simple answer.
FELICIA·· ""Fel-" she cut herself off, remembering she wasn't wearing her wig, and suddenly remembering the state of her apartment. Shit. "Felicity," she introduced her other self. She pulled the lobby door open, pondering just breaking into someone else's apartment so he wouldn't see all of her stuff. But she hadn't a single pick on her. "3rd floor," she said, walking to the stairs. It'd give her some time to think. GOD I hope I didn't leave that safe out. Did I put my wigs bag on their stands this morning? Why am I so stupid?
SAM·· "Nice to meet you, Felicity," he replied, hands still in his pockets as he followed her to the stairs. "Alright, third floor," he nodded, letting her go first. He's not much of a gentleman all the time. Sorry, Felicia.
FELICIA·· "Stop staring at her butt, Sam. Anyway, she jogged up the stairs, continuing to hope and pray that she'd put all of her shit away before she'd left the morning. "Sam and Dean, from, what was it," she glanced behind her. "Twenty-third?"
SAM·· He's totally not. He doesn't check girls out anymore, it's kinda really sad. He saw that she was jogging so hurried up after her, though his was more of just a fast skip up the stairs. "Yuuupp," he nodded, looking around the staircase for anything weird.
FELICIA·· "She made note and they were finally at the third floor. Turning the corner, she walked two doors and stopped at her own. Here goes nothing. She slipped her key in the hole and unlocked the door, quickly smiling back at Sam like, pleeeease let that stuff be gone. She peeked in with big green eyes and released a sigh of relief. "C'mon in," she opened the door wide. "It's a little messy but," she shrugged. Either she had put the stuff up, or the City was on her side for once.
SAM·· He lifted his eyebrows when she turned to look at him, pulling his hands out of his pockets so he didn't seem too disrespectful. When she said for him to come in, he nodded and followed. "That's okay. It's better than my place, I'm sure. Dean's a pig."
FELICIA·· "She smirked, "Most boys are. Anyway. The place is pretty roomy. This is just a one bedroom." She held her arms out in presentation, "Entrance to living room, and then the kitchen's right here," she pointed. "I don't know about everyone else, but my water' just fine."
SAM·· "Right," he nodded, looking around. It didn't like it could be a haunted place, but still... You never know. He'd have to talk to Dean about it. "Nice place," he continued looking, checking behind couches and things.
FELICIA·· "She just watched him curiously. "No rats or anything. The place is amazingly clean...'
SAM·· "Yeah," he smiled, walking around a bit. "I'm just checking the flooring and the heating ducts." Checked behind the other couch.
FELICIA·· ""Uh huh," she nodded, continuing to watch. No looking under the couches, pleeeeease. When he'd gotten to the other couch, she'd remembered Onyx had a habit of sleeping around there, "Be-" and she wasn't quick enough, because there was the black cat, jumping out at the prying boy like, OMG GO AWAY WTF! "careful...heh."
SAM·· Which had Sam yelping, jumping back and tripping over his feet. Ouch. He took a tumble, which wasn't very graceful. Even though he'd seen hundreds of bloodthirsty spirits in his time, this black cat had scared the crap out of him. He pushed himself back, trying to get out of the way of the cat. And then he stood, trying not to look like and absolute freak. Jesus, his heart was beating fast.
FELICIA·· ""I'm so sorry," she said, trying her hardest not to laugh. "I forgot she likes it back there. She didn't scratch you or anything, did she?" She motioned for her kitty to come to her, and bent to pick her up.
SAM·· "I'm fine," he shook his head, running a hand through his hair as he smiled. "Just scared me, didn't scratch me, though." He couldn't say that he liked cats, though. Hmph.
FELICIA·· "She hugged her kitty, scratching behind her ears before she put her down. "At least you're not superstitious."
SAM·· Sam's seen too much to be superstitious. He just laughed awkwardly and nodded. "Yeah, well, I figure if you get bad luck, you get bad luck."
FELICIA·· "And did she know a thing or two about bad luck. "That's a good theory to live by. You sure you're okay, you're a little pale."
SAM·· "Oh, yeah. I'm fine. I'm just not much of a cat person," he was breathing normally now, too, so the colour might return to his face. Smiled again as he turned back to her. "Anything else I should see?"
FELICIA·· "Well cats obviously hate him too, so there. "Uhm, the bathroom," she shrugged, "is nice for a place like this," she walked toward it. "Lots of storage, lots of space. It doesn't feel like a closet." See the bathroom! :D "No leaking in here, either. Unless you're taking one." BADUMCHING.
SAM·· Wow, she's clever. Sam laughed at her joke, poking his head into her bathroom as she presented it. "Dean can put all his makeup on in here," he nodded, trying his hardest to make her laugh at a really lame joke. "Perfect," he wished he had an EMF reader.
FELICIA·· ""You either really have some issues with your brother," she said, walking out of the bathroom, "or he's a drag queen."
SAM·· Sam laughed at that, too. Aahhh, Dean. "We're always poking fun at eachother, I'm sorry. I'll stop."
FELICIA·· "Felicia laughed, reaching to pull a door shut as she passed it. You don't need to see in there Sammy boy. "No worries. It's just amusing/ I was an only child, so I never really had the chance."
SAM·· "Really? That's too bad. My dad and my brother were always around when I was a kid, so we really just made fun of eachother all the time." And he really doesn't know why he's blabbering on, but whatever. "Yeeaahh. Anything else?"
FELICIA·· ""Yea. It was just me and my mom. My dad wasn't around much," she peeked into her bed room to make sure all was clear before opening the door. "Again, don't my the mess. Bedroom's pretty nice. Enough for me at least, I don't require much space."
SAM·· He came in and just looked around, checking for anything odd. Didn't seem like it, so he just nodded that she could continue. "Looks pretty nice."
FELICIA·· "She nodded. "Nice price," she walked back to the living room. "And, yea, there's the dining room. There's room for an office but uhm, I've got my work stuff spread all over." She shrugged. It's an office.
SAM·· "Right. Cool," he nodded, hands stuffing into his pockets as he just continued looking around. "Looks like a nice place. I'll have to tell Dean how nice it is."
FELICIA·· ""Well, that's it," she shrugged. "There is an elevator, but three floors isn't much," she shrugged, quickly picking up the small leather lock pick case and zipping it around the edges.
SAM·· "Nice place," he nodded, looking around once more before backing up towards the door. He'd seen enough, and the girl seemed like she wanted him to leave. Sooo, he would do as she wished. "Thanks for showing me around."
FELICIA·· ""No problem," she nodded, picking Onyx back up when she came back to her. 'I hope your brother settles on something."
SAM·· "Yeah, we'll see what he thinks," Sam nodded. He looked at the cat, smiled as best he could and said, "Bye, then, cat." Since he hadn't heard her name. "And Felicity. Maybe I'll see you around."
FELICIA·· ""Onyx," she purred wif teh kitty as she scratched some more. "And I'm sure you will. It seems to happen a lot."
SAM·· He nodded at that. "Onyx, Felicity," he continued. Turning, he headed for the door, opened it and stepped outside. "Bye," and then he turned to go, on his way to the stairs.
FELICIA·· "Goodbye, Sam," she watched him leave, then plopped on her couch with the black kitty. "Well that was dumb of me, wasn't it sweety? Mmhm, mommy's stupid today."
