i_ambadluck Putty tat on the roof [ OPEN ]
All the hoop la at the court house had finally calmed down, leaving the leather clad cat with nothing to do with her days. Felicia had been getting cozy on the roof of a building across from the court house, hoping to catch any sort of action that might be going down around the area. She still hadn't found anything more interesting to do in this place, though running into Spidey had brightened her hopes a bit. He'd seemed to vanish as quickly as he'd shown up. Typical, or at least she thought so.
Stepping away from the ledge, she pushed her eyeware up, then tucked her hair behind her ears. She wasn't sure why she was back up on the roof top, but it was better than sitting at home and talking to her cat. Because that's what crazy cat ladies do, and she definitely wasn't crazy. "This is where all the heros hang out," she mumbled to herself, glancing around a bit, hands sticking to her hips. Maybe it was time for her to grow up and make a decision, instead of being the sometimes hero (which was usually only when the out come was to her advantage).
She wasn't working for anyone here. There was no Kingpin, to her knowledge at least. Even if there was, this place was like a second chance, and maybe the spider was right. She'd be better off on the good side of things. "But what's the point of being good if you look oh so bad?" She asked to no one in particular, shifting her weight from one foot to the other, then sighing. "I need a life."

Maybe the rooftop was where all the heroes hung out.
Daredevil was back out doing his nightly rounds, now that the trial of Jack Napier was done. Very important information had come to his attention and he liked to keep on top of things. Mainly keeping tabs on certain people.
Tonight was no different than any other patrol. He kept a careful ear out for movement in the buildings. Or, rather, movement of the buildings. His path homeward could change at a moment's notice - and it already had a number of times before. That's why the rooftops were easier to navigate than the back alleyways. He tried to keep a pattern to his movements, just to keep buildings in check. Though frustrating, it was admittedly exciting to take a different route home every night. You never knew what you'd find.
Like tonight, for instance.
"I need a life."
Swinging by a cable, Daredevil somersaulted down on top of a rooftop utility shed. There was someone else on his route tonight. Or else the building had shifted. Glancing back over his shoulder, he realized there had definitely been a shift in buildings. It just goes to show that, no matter how carefully you think you're keeping things straight, they can all go screwy in a split second. It was going to be a long night.
"Join the club," he replied from his perch.

This place just seemed to be swarming with the super hero types. Every where she turned, there was another. Like roaches in the typical New York City apartment. It was charming. When Felicia heard him land, her almost white hair whipped around her head as she turned to see who it was.
"Well well," her foot tapped on the roof as a sly smirk that he would be sad to miss stretched across her lips. "Look what the cat dragged in." Keeping her hands on her hips, she cautiously walked toward the man in red's landing spot.
"If it isn't the devil himself," she clicked her tongue a few times before she continued. "I tried joining your little super hero club once. Didn't work out too well," because her fingers are just too sticky. "And it sure doesn't look like it'd be much fun here. There's either nothing happening, or half the city's being slaughtered." She may have exaggerated that a little.

Daredevil smirked. He recognized who it was - Black Cat. Kind of nice to run into someone he sort of knew. Or rather, knew through Spider-man. Matt had represented her once, but then he, as Daredevil, and Spider-man had attempted to break her out of Rikers. It hadn't gone very well.
"No, not enough cooks in the kitchen to have a real club, I'm afraid." He stood up straight from his crouched position. Listening, all seemed quiet in the general area of this building. For now. If he moved on to the next block, there might be something else going on.
"Which side are you on this week?" Daredevil asked casually, as if asking about the weather or for the time. He took two steps forward before jumping down from the utility shed's roof onto the rooftop level with Black Cat.

Things generally don't go very well when she's around, but all she could do was grin when he spoke again. He knew her all too well, apparently, though Felicia wasn't sure of her answer. "Which ever side isn't trying to kill me this week." That was always a good way to choose sides.
"And since no one has really been after my hide lately, I suppose I'll have to say your side." She backed up some as he came down to her level. "To stay in the good graces of the Devil and the Spider? Do I get brownie points for that?"

Daredevil laughed slightly. "I suppose so."
Though...her mention of "the Spider"...did she not know the news yet? The news Mary Jane had told him? It wasn't his place to tell other people news like that. He'd wait until she ran into MJ. He didn't like being a rumor-monger. Even though this didn't seem like much of a rumor.
Daredevil continued his patrol by walking along the perimeter of the roofline. His hand rested on his billy club in the holster on his thigh. All seemed peaceful enough. All he could hear was Felicia's heartbeat. Was she nervous to see him?
"So you haven't come across anything around here? It's been quiet?" He didn't just mean the current neighborhood activity. His tone inquired into her arrival in the City. Or, rather, someone could take it that way.

Felicia knew nothing of the sort, because she'd talked to the spider boy recently, and it was definitely Peter Parker behind that mask. "I have no intentions of causing trouble here," she told him, watching him roam around. "Yet..."
And it was true. If a great opportunity presented itself, she would take it in a heart beat. Anything to keep her from being bored and talking to her cat all day. She figured she had a good forty years before the cat lady thing set in.
"By anything, I'll assume you mean the usual crime fighter finds. No crooks or suspicious gatherings to report, Mr.Devil, sir." That was always a 'none yet' sort of thing, though. But he should know that well enough by now.

"Good. On both accounts."
Daredevil suddenly paused in his pacing, his sensitive hearing catching the sound of a sudden break-in. Four blocks over, on the south side of a building, a car alarm was going off. There was scuffling and scrapes against metal. Like a bloodhound picking up a scent, Daredevil's head whipped around to face the source.
He looked back to Felicia. "I have to go. Nice to see you again."
Billy club out, a cable launched across to the next building. Daredevil flipped over the ledge of the roof. He disappeared into the shadows as he landed and ran towards the next rooftop.
