A look of incredulousness briefly crossed Leigh's face when he made the comment about being fat. Kip. Fat. Hardly. But she wasn't going to say anything to make things weird. Nope. She quickly wiped the look off her face and gave a little shrug. "I think the winter makes everyone lazy. It's frigid and you just don't want to do anything but keep warm." The blonde shrugged again and offered a smile.
At his question, Leigh worked her hands together, brow arching as she thought a moment. "There's this tree," she started, reaching one hand up to play with the hoop in her earlobe, "that needs pruning back. But I'd hate to be a bother," she finished, waving her hand. "It's not like the limbs are going to land on my house or anything." A small smile tugged at her lips when he smirked. She knew that was probably the closest thing to a smile she was going to get out of him, so she was happy to see it. "I can do cookies." Leigh nodded, her smile growing a bit. "Are you sure, though? I really don't want to be a pain." Tilting her head, she placed her palm against her cheek. Leigh didn't want it to feel like she was using Kip just so he'd help her with the yard work. God, no. But it could be a way for them to spend more time together.
Working her lower lip between her teeth for a second, she straightened up. "How 'bout I fix you dinner instead? I'll fix whatever you want... it's the least I can do if you're willing to help tame the tree in my yard."
