Aaron just beamed, as Eric resisted the urge to roll his eyes. His brother obviously thought parenting was all about hanging out and being buddies, and Eric thought that was a pretty damn unhealthy way to raise a kid, particularly a kid that wasn't even Dylan's own.
"After this," Eric said, voice full of pride, "we're washing the car, and getting an oil change." He looked down at his son. "Aaron likes to visit the garage, isn't that right?" Aaron nodded. "And then we'll go home and nap before supper."
