sup everyone. i am so sorry this took me forever to do but I was waiting until I had all three of my dudes in before making my intro and my third was accepted on the one busy day of my entire month lol.
anyways, hello again! my name is ian (lobo). i'm a CSTer who is constantly fighting a battle with insomnia and proper sleeping times, i keep really odd hours when not at work and i take care of my nephew when he's not in daycare (weekends). i'm always quick to reply to emails but i don't like rping on my phone (i like using my icons too much) so that happens when i'm home. here are my three losers.
valentine oubre, 25. ganymede. whiskey sour medic. This is Valentine. Valentine was born in the eastern sector of Ganymede. Born to two hardworkers and the second of four children. He was much like the caretaker of his siblings, his older brother gets himself into romantic messes on a bi-weekly basis and his younger siblings are/were troublemakers who run and hid behind Valentine whenever their troubles caught up with them. So they bother him a lot with his problems because they've come to trust his judgement and he doesn't mind, rolls his eyes a lot whenever someone brings up how they're doing but he's fond of the losers. His brothers call him more than his sister because she managed to develop some sense after a few years of being a wild child. Valentine spent a lot of his time pre-RAC taking care and looking after people so choosing Medic as his specialization for the RAC was an easy decision. He graduated from the training program back in '66 and has been with the Whiskey Sour since then (5 years). Valentine is not incredibly friendly, he takes a while to warm up to people. He's not afraid to share his opinions because he's spent a lot of his years having his advice listened to by friends and family alike. But mostly all of his opinions come from a place of caring, not to come off as knowing more than you. He's difficult to read mostly because he has a perpetual poker face but his crew would know him for the caring individual that he is. Sometimes his caring can turn into nagging, mostly he does this when he feels someone isn't taking care of themselves. Don't try him, he will lock you in your room and sit in front of your door to make sure you are getting enough sleep. Or he will threaten to sedate you. He will load up your plate with greens and veggies to get you to eat healthy. Don't slack on his watch because he will pounce. PLOT: other medics: he will regale you with stories of his crew. whiskey sour: this is the guy who mends your wounds and keeps you alive when shit gets real, will also probably lecture you on whatever you did wrong if you're conscious. This is also the guy who has not had a lot of worldly experiences that every young adult gets to partake in so I think he's on the right crew. You might think you're forcing him on your adventures, and he might say that he's only going to keep you in one piece, but don't believe him. other: friends, he does not open up immediately but he's been here for 5 years so I'd imagine he's have some friends.jai mehra, 19. venus. b52 engineer. This ball of sunshine and energy is Jai. Born and raised in Venus above a little shop called New Again. A thrift shop started and owned by his grandparents who raised him for the first 10 years of his life. There you can find anything from working Earth walkmans (sp?) to clothing to small furniture sets but don't try to haggle with the woman behind the counter, his grandmother has been doing this longer than you've all been alive. And don't try to steal anything, his mother will chase you down and she won't leave you pretty when she catches you. SPEAKING OF HIS MOTHER! Lalita Mehra was a name some of your characters might know as she was also an agent of the RAC. She operated as Gunner with the Kamikaze until people got sucked out of space all those years ago. Then she went back home because she couldn't deal with her feelings. But those that have been with the RAC long enough would have known her as she is almost exactly like Jai in personality but a lot less intense. And they would have known that she had a son. Jai is graduating this year! Graduating the program with very high marks in weaponry despite being an engineer and will be joining the B52! He's very excited! Hence the exclamation marks! That's how he speaks most of the time, like every sentence ends in an !. He's a lot to take the first few times around. He's perpetually in a good mood and his face tends to show that the entire time he's awake. Constantly in motion who keeps himself as busy as he can otherwise he'll be annoying everyone with how much he moves. The only time he's actually still is when he's sleeping or working on something that requires his fingers to be moving more than his actual body. Which he loves to do so if he's not working on something that needs to be done on ship then he's working on one of his side projects. PLOT: other recent grads would know jai (he ♥ you lea, ur his #1 gal). B52: you will wonder how jai keeps going and going without drinking gallons of coffee. also, don't never give jai coffee. he's going to try to make a good impression on you guys but he can't contain his excitement. others: idk man, he's incredibly friendly and upbeat 24/7, people who like that and people who don't.tavo mondragon, 32. tijuana. tequila sunrise gunner. This guy is much more chill than the two above. Tavo (real name Octavio) was born and raised on Tijuana. Tavo and his father were both abandoned by his mother when Tavo was 6 year old. She never really wanted a kid and the novelty wore off on having one after a few years. So Tavo was raised by his father who worked twice as hard to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table which often left Tavo to his own devices once he was old enough to look after himself. He took up with kids from his neighborhood who were like him either being cared for by one family member or going it alone. In comparison to the kids that he took up with Tavo had it better but he's still very much a child from the streets. After working a string of dead-end jobs to help his dad, Tavo joined the ISSP and worked his way onto SWAT before leaving it. He knew how corrupt it was but he didn't think it would be so corrupt that he would find himself agreeing with la Santa Muerte and her organization more than the actual law. There was nothing really keeping him there at the ISSP, he never really made any friends and he slowly started to lose confidence in the men and women he worked with. So he left and never looked back. He graduated the RAC training program back in 2063. He was on the Tom Collins for the first 3 years before he had enough of their antics and was transferred to the Tequila Sunrise where he has loved being. Tavo is much more easy to get along with. Mostly because he holds no fondness for fake nice shit that a lot of people tend to do. If he does not like you then he will not pretend to like you, sure he'll be nice (his father made sure he didn't turn out to be some malcriado) but that's about all he'll be. When it comes to his friends and family, he would do anything for him. It's ride or die with Tavo once he considers you one of his own. PLOT: tequila sunrise: u r all his faves, problematic or unproblematic. his cinnamon rolls. ride or die, t sun for life baby. other: i'd imagine he'd have friends on other ships since he's been with the RAC for 8 years. also the gunners should all get together to wreck some shit (whether they mean to or not). |
