Long story short? Thanksgiving is about being with family and friends, reflecting on the year and what makes your life good, and sharing a meal together. Before I became a Slayer, my parents used to host Thanksgiving at our house for my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a few family friends who were very close but didn't have a place to be on the day. We enjoyed food, laughed, talked, watched football, and Uncle Carl always fell asleep in my dad's recliner and snored until Aunt Bette picked up a sofa pillow and wacked him with it.
Really, it's what you make of it. There's no set rules on Thanksgiving, just traditions, but those aren't set in stone.
