I couldn't tell you. I'm sorry. I didn't know if telling you would make it worse, or make it happen, or. I don't know anything about this yet, not really. Not how it works, anyway. If I hadn't had a vision when I did I'd have come with you, I'd have been able to ~~keep you safe~~ help, but I couldn't and I'm really, really sorry.

Couldn't is more accurate than wouldn't is. I wanted to. I tried, just. Not directly. Why do you think I was acting like I was your mother or something, constantly telling you to be careful for the past two days? I'm not generally that neurotic about safety or anything.

Okay. Still, offer stands. I ~~just have to write some stuff out~~ won't be doing anything important, so feel free to poke me if you do decide you want company for any reason.

Have you ever done the whole really upset, drinking, alone thing before? Because I have. A lot. It's not safe, okay? Not, even if nothing actually happens, it's just really not a good plan.

It's not that you're supposed to be acting any certain way, or that this isn't supposed to upset you, but locking yourself somewhere alone to get really drunk and think long and hard about your mortality is just ...not good.

I'm making soup. And sandwiches. And then I'm coming over, and we're having dinner, and if you still want me to be gone you can chase me away after that.
