You don't have to be the textbook definition of normal. Not many people here are. Just the thought of you guys risking everything by going out there looking for the things that'll happily rip you apart bothers me.
And, look, I get it. I know what it's like, feeling like you're never gonna be able to fit in. I do. Most of the time, I don't like letting people know how far down the drain I am when it comes to being a freak different from regular people. But just 'cause you're different doesn't mean that you gotta throw it all away. You're worth more than that, you know? You can be a mutant and...I dunno, save dolphins, find a good home for an orphan, keep a good man from going to jail when he's wrongly accused of a crime. There are other things out there. It just doesn't have to be monsters. And, yeah, that ability? It's useful. To be quite honest, if I were any other Hunter I'd probably use that info to swindle you into hunting with me every chance I got. I'm not though. I'm me. And I don't care how powerful you are. You're a kid. You deserve more than that.
You can't do both. Why? Because every time you throw yourself out there, you're putting yourself in danger. You're risking the people you care about, you're risking everything you're accomplishing in school because the moment you slip up, you're dead. All that work, all that school, all that time you put into your social life? Gone. Along with you.
