No evil
Found this DVD series, thought I'd try it out. Confused at first but interesting. This guy solves crimes as a sort of cop type guy but sometimes he puts the gun down and starts kicking. I think it's with this muggle named Chuck Norris. It's funny watching him kick bad people. There's this theme too about unsuspecting strangers, something about ranger eyes on them if they don't know right or wrong, or something. Planning to view it some more. If any people might like to come over and watch it too, and poke fun at the bad guys in it, door's open at eight o'clock tonight. I'll even have some popcorn and drinks for the occasion as well.

[Kira's mom]

Hi, my name is Scorpius. I made a post here where I spoke of playing quidditch (sport played on brooms) and Kira had asked if she could play. I had suggested, and we agreed, best course of action was to inform you of it and speak concerning permission. I'd understand if the answer is a no. It can be risky if not trained and safety measures not properly observed. But that was home; here, I'm doing extra protections, taken every precautions to make it much safer for anyone involved [such as making the ground like a mattress or bounce-spring type charm] so that anyone who participates is completely safe in all ways.

I completely understand if you don't want her to take the chance. Youngest player in our history was 11, so any concern is fully understandable. I remember when I was four and wanted to take Dad's broom from the family vault and soar in the clouds I just wanted to let you know first before deciding anything on the matter. And you'd probably be able to explain it to her better if she's unable to play, but I'd be open to alternatives like making a smaller magic broom that hovers, and flies but not too fast, fun but safe). Little broom flights aren't as risky

I really really don't want her playing that. She's still only a kid and from what I know of it you do need to be trained for it and even then its risky. You have two positions basically designed for knocking people out of the air, yeah?

I'm happy to have her play around on a smaller one. I'm not saying she can't do the fun things but this isn't a game you let kids in your own world play so why would i let her.

Thank Merlin Was so worried since that talk, can't stop thinking of the downsides and I admit, I am relieved to hear that. For the past few days, I keep seeing in my mind since that talk, the risk where she's concerned, what can happen, and I'd rather not chance it, not after the other stuff I'd seen here. For an eight-year-old, even a small risk is one too much in this case. Especially with the bludgers, that was my main worry more than anything.

I agree with you. The smaller broom is a better idea, I think. I'd thought it good to have an alternative, didn't want to be like, "no you can't" and have hurt feelings, so this way.. least this way, it's a second option. And it's safer too. I could get to work on that soon and bring it whenever you'd feel is a good time. I could probably have it all set to deliver by next weekend if that's alright.

Chuck Norris doesn't sleep, he waits! When the boogeyman goes to bed, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris! Chuck Norris counted to infinity twice.

Anyway, I think my uncles made me watch that show as a kid, but I don't remember it much. Oh! But he rides a horse and has a cowboy hat, right?

Yeah, I'd heard that about him. Also heard he's the reason Waldo is hiding. And there was going to be a bridge named after him but changed their mind; because no one crosses Chuck Norris.

Oh yeah, he has a hat and did ride a horse sometimes, but usually rode in a big truck. Are your uncles or family here with you too?

Cowboy hats are awesome. Oh -- no, my family aren't here. They will be eventually, though, I bet.
