	Witches are the guardians of nature. They won't allow anything truly immortal exist. So when our ancestor, Amara, became the first ever immortal, the doppelgängers were created as a mortal counterpart. Katherine and I just happened to end up as vampires by chance. So including the...Amara that Elena mentioned, that makes 4 of us in the Petrova line that I know of. There was another, before me, Tatia. I don't know much about her, the Mikaelson's would, but...I wouldn't suggest poking around about it. Bear, stick, they don't go together well. Plus Tatia is likely still a sore spot, she kind of wrecked things between the older two brothers. ~~As is apparently in the Petrova genetic make up~~
