I don't know about that. People are less reluctant to kill someone that's human than they are a vampire, a werewolf, or any other species that might pop up on us. Which is ridiculous but it's the truth. So if a vampire starts trying to kill us all, we're more than okay with staking them and being done with it. Humans, everyone wants to try and save them. No matter how dangerous they get. So, really, what's the bigger threat? A man willing to run a sword through someone innocent or a man who wants someone's blood but resists?
