I don't have an awful lot of comparison for 2000s parties, but I thought it was quite enjoyable and I had a good time for the most part. I think the costumes were my favorite part. Everyone looked so different, even those of you who were meant to be the same thing. I really enjoyed it.

I suppose Christmas is the next big holiday?

I would never hurt you, I wish you'd
It's him, isn't it? I'll never measure up to him. I'm not him and it's not enough
Hi?

Did you make it home all right? You could have at least let me know that

thanksgiving is also celebrated. its the fourth thursday of november. its about giving thanks for the good things in our lives. the history books say that its when the pilgrims and indians set aside their differences in the new world.

Oh, yes. I think I remember hearing about it now. The one with the turkey. And the Pilgrims, they were the ones who came over on the Mayflower, yes?

I am, yes. Two worlds? How, exactly?

I do, petite. It's very different and it took some time to adjust but I quite like it.

the world that was home was put under a curse so everyone was sent to storybrooke with no memory of our lives in our real home. two different worlds, one with magic and the one without it.

thats good! its similar to storybrooke in the way most things are but papa says there are dangers more similar to home because of magic and bad things that arent from this 'world'.

That sounds terribly complicated for one so young to deal with, but you certainly seem to handle it beautifully.

Oh, I'm certain there are. It can be a very dangerous place from what I'm learning. But it's still far preferable to the world I come from. We've taken some great strides in making life better for people. If we can fight and win this war, we'll do even more.

it is but until the curse was broken, we didn't know.

really? that must be a sad world. but that's a good way to think.

But now you do and you've had two lives to live. Quite different from most, I imagine.

It had its good parts, just as anyone's world. But the poor and the hungry outnumbered those with comfort that most here take for granted. I simply hope we can continue to push those numbers to be the opposite.

it is, but there are a lot of people from my world it seems so im not alone in two lives to live and the memories.

at least there was good. we never had that in storybrooke and papa and i didnt have much but we had eachother. but i hope that can change so that people do not go hungry.

That seems quite helpful indeed! Having people to lean on when you are in need, people who understand you, that can be very important.

Oh, I'm sure there were little bits of good, even in the darkest of times. You just sometimes have to look very, very hard for them. A sweet treat with a friend or an adventure outside can sometimes be a very good thing when other things seem to have failed you.

it is.

i meant we didnt have the hungry and poor in storybrooke. everything was fixed i think the term is but thats from the curse. and papa and i didnt have much money but it was okay because we had one another and made it work. sorry. i got confusing.

Really? That seems...unreal. Though I suppose if there was magic involved, it may have been considered unreal. It's all right, petite. If I had lived the situation you had, most of what I said would be very confusing indeed.

It was nice. Almost wish I could have stayed longer.

It seems that way with how enthusiastic people are about Christmas decorations, but no. Thanksgiving is next, Americans have so many holidays.

You could have, but you had to do what was best for you.

I've noticed this, yes. It seems there's always something else to celebrate. I appreciate a celebration as much as the next person but there's so many to keep track of.

The way my head felt staying much longer would not have been wise.

I'm not sure how they aren't tired of it.

I should not have been so bold. And I'm sorry I ran, but I couldn't see that look again. The one Marius gave me so often. The one that said I care about you but not like that.

I know I'm not the kind of girl that good men want.

I just hope you'll remain my friend

Are you completely mental?
I thought I had
That was a mutual...whatever it was

Eponine...don't say that. All right? And please don't ever compare me to him. I can't deal with

And stop saying things like that about yourself. Please. I...don't know what I feel right now. I'm so damned confused I don't have a grasp on these things and But you are more worthy than you can possibly know and he was a bloody fool for not seeing what was and you have grown into an impossibly wonderful woman that any man would be lucky to have.

It's just...why me?

I will always be your friend. That much I know with complete certainty.

I didn't mean to compare you, just I expected the same reaction is all. I thought Belle...I expected you would like her

I don't know entirely how I feel either. Confused mostly, foolish for reacting as I did. And...even more confused now. Do you really feel anyone would be lucky to have me?

And I will always be yours. You've been here for me more than anyone

Well don't. Don't ever expect me to act as he did. I do like Belle. I enjoy her company and being with her but I don't feel anything further than affectionate friendship for her I think.

I have told you, 'Ponine, and I will keep telling you. You're brilliant. You're incredible and you deserve the best. It may just not be me

It's about time someone was there for you. You deserve that.

You're right. It wasn't fair of me and I'm sorry. But I see you with her and she's smart, she knows the books you know, she can talk about things I never could. That's important.

But dancing with you, things were...I don't often feel like that Enjolras, and you spend enough years being told you're stupid and no one could love you, you learn to believe it.

Then there was you, and you're kind and handsome and brave, and you tell me I'm your friend and I'm special and I just couldn't stop myself wanting more.
