Beginning warm ups. Phase one. This is just a list of things I'd routinely run my squads through as a Sergeant. You obviously don't have to take all of them or any of them if you don't think we'll need them in this kind of war.
Fitness.
push-ups 49+
sit-ups 59+
chin-ups 6+
5 mile individual run in 40 minutes or less over a course with multiple hills
25-meter obstacle coarse
Combination Night/Day land navigation test -navigation using a map and compass.
Field Obstacle Course
A 12 mile individual ruck march with full gear.
weapons training.
hand to hand combat.
We can probably skip the Mountain Phase, don't seem to be many mountains in Lawrence we'll have to worry about surviving in. Most of the Florida Phase too unless you want them to learn how to use a parachute, but I don't think theirs any need for that in this kind of war. And then theirs the whole, I don't have a plane issue anyway.
The third phase is mostly air force training. Except there should probably be a scenario here that will force another person in those groups you set up to take over leadership if something should happen to the squad leaders and we need to regroup. Someone needs to be able to take secondary temporary control. Then be able to let it go when squad leader returns.
Maybe one scenario could include disappearance of the leaders like capture the flag. Stick the leader in an unknown location in Lawrence or wherever we're doing this and have squads work together to find them to get the units thinking like a team. Then bring the leaders in and have the leaders work with the squads through a series of different obstacles.
