I don't want to forget either. I've seen too much. Learned too much. Made friends with too many people. I couldn't just let it go like that.
But that was what I said before.
It wasn't easy, going back to Metropolis and getting back into the swing of things. I couldn't do it for a while. I kept looking for a way back, hoping I could somehow figure out where the seal had opened up so that I could wriggle my way through, but I never did. Eventually, I accepted that there was nothing I could do. The seal no longer had any use for me. My time in Lawrence was over. It took a while, but I eventually fell back into my old life. Never did tell anyone what happened. I didn't think they'd understand.
Then nearly ten years later? I came back. I was a different person. I had been through a lot of things that changed me. And in the time that I had been gone, everyone else had been through things that changed them. It was easy falling back into sync with some people, like Kon, but...
