It isn't that it means nothing, Cassandra. If you'll allow me a moment to digress: Those of us in the line of work I suspect you're referring to are very much like professional athletes, in some respects. If we're any good, our names quickly rise to fame, and we spend a great deal of time recognized, often receiving very vocal and visible praise for our great deeds. Even those not entirely comfortable with the praise get used to people just immediately recognizing them and knowing what they've done. Here we do not have that, and on top of that many of those here also have similar deeds in their pasts. It can be hard to adjust to a situation like that, when you are used to that instant recognition. In time it won't feel like that, I promise you.
That is complicated, but then again, I'm friends with the Hulk. Complicated is easier for me to swallow. Just remember that no matter what responsibilities or challenges being a champion places upon you, it is still you who decides who you want to be, and still you who controls whether you ultimately become that or not.
