[FILTERED TO COMPLEX RESIDENTS & AWAY FROM THE BBS] Residents, my name is Hardison and I am your tech saviour. I am currently in your security room, updating your system. So if you here any noises from down there, it's just me. Possibly Kit, but I don't need her help so-
Vic gave me the head's up on some comm-links Barbara made for the security team before (if you're still here Babs, speak up because we're moving on without you if you don't). I'm going to find one and see what I can do to improve it, but it allows vocal communication on several different frequencies. Now, it will definitely be useful for those working in the security room to have these so we can stay in communication at all times. And I think that whoever works on patrols could benefit from it though, so leave your name and I can hook you up. But Vic made a suggestion about mass producing it and giving it to all residents. I don't know if the money or time put into that will be worth it personally because everyone and their mom has a cell phone these days and we can just send out a mass text when we need to. And while I am good, nothing is unhackable and I don't want a comm-link to fall into the wrong hands. But I'm gonna let you fine folks of the complex vote on it. Just remember, I only have as much money as I can steal...which is a lot.
[FILTERED TO BOOTH, ELIOT, FELICIA, KITTY, & VICTOR] While I seriously don't need any of y'all's help on this and I- Well, I'm done gutting your security room. Your old tech was good, but it's garbage in comparison to mine outdated. You now have eight HD crystal clear screens mounted on the walls, connected to the cameras mounted around the complex building on a closed circuit feed. So you have a round view of the building that extends about 150 feet out. Recorded video stays in the system for six months which is expensive, you guys are so lucky I like you, before the memory is dumped automatically. There is an override for that if needed.
Motion sensors detect movement up to 50 feet out, with the appropriate cameras automatically panning to whoever or whatever is out there. I'm still tweaking it and it should be done in a few days, but a facial recognition program will recognize if it's a resident (once we get all of you in for a quick scan), but if a stranger approaches, the screens will flash red. Whoever is manning the room at the time will have to decide if the person is a threat or not. I can scan in basic images of what is a threat if we have them so an alert pops up with a threat reading, but since demons can possess anyone, we have to rely on magic to keep those things out. I'm working on the entrance too. Residents will need to have their thumb prints scanned (once we bring everyone in for that) to get in. If someone holds the door for you to get in, then obviously not. However, there is a camera mounted at the door now, so whoever is on security duty will be watching you. It's not active yet and won't be until we get the majority of the residents in the system.
I am the best at what I do, but I still need to test the blind spots of the cameras I just set up. Eliot, Felicia, you two up for it? I calculated the angles based off the blueprints for the complex, so it should be okay, but that's not accounting for all the bumps and construction mismeasurements. I just need you two to find any holes and we'll get them plugged after. Kit, you said you had Xavier tech ideas for us? I'm working on a multi-purpose virtual table for the security room and I don't need your help, but- I'm hoping Booth's friend Angela can lend us an idea or two. You up for playing with that? And could you and Vic take a look at the ear pieces and see what you can do about improving them? I don't have time to do it all, as awesome as I am, and there's no way you can m- And maybe figure out how much mass producing them for the whole complex is going to cost me?
Booth, get your friend Angela in touch with me as soon as you can. And I fixed up that laptop for mini-Parker. It's pimped out with all sorts of hack-proof programs, child filters, and an anti-baddie filter that you can adjust to your liking. You can have it whenever you bring the kid by.
[FILTERED TO ANYA] So. What's up?
[ooc; Hardison has pride. And he has a lot of it!]
