Who: Martha Jones and Sam Winchester
What: Conversation, clarifications and contact in the Med bay!
When: Mid-evening, Sunday, February 21, 2010
Where: Martha/Wyatt's joint office, Medical Bay
Why: Because Martha is spending a few days going over the files that ARE there.
Status: incomplete
If one thing could be said it was that the other her had followed medical procedure. After getting access to the office she'd planted herself behind the desk and started her review. Each file was labled by patient name. Unfortunately - much to Martha's dismay, some held more information than others, leaving certain things unanswered, while other files were just... missing.
Among those she didn't see was Clark's (which made sense, she wondered if before he had been afraid to come in or if he just hadn't had reason to). There were some individuals that were missing - people she had spoken to. The first step in this project, which she realized was going to be a massive undertaking, was to familiarize herself with who was already here and their normal state of health, then compare anything abnormal to the records and determine treatment should it become nececessary.
She had been at this for the last seven hours. Carefully combing through every single piece of paper available to her. So far she hadn't found anything out of the ordinary... as she did this it occurred to her that arrivals might be bringing with them more than just themselves. What if they were bringing with them illness. Yes they had a cure for The Plague, but still, what about other things. New things that certain other uninverses didn't have. The truth was that the medical implications of this whole system of appearances was almost overwhelming.
It seemed clear that those who didn't have files she would have to call in for full physicals. Checking for everything from medical histories to radiation from Kryptonite exposure. Looking at the clock she ran her hand over her temples and sat back in the chair. She'd been here for so long today it was just like she was back with UNIT in New York. Long days of paperwork. At least now she was actually going to be actively practicing medicine again. She needed to figure out what to do about money. She might be able to work with a practice in town as well... maybe?
It was late, and while she was thinking about leaving, she really did want to get through at least this file before she left for the night... sighing she forced herself to keep reading. She needed food, she'd need to get it. Soonish...
