Robin Hood ([info]iamrobinhood) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
He had to laugh as she re-explained everything to him; he had it now, but it was a sight more complicated than a lump of soap. Complications were a small price to pay for getting to wash under what was essentially a hot waterfall. With a last reminder about toothpaste (toothbrushes were a definite improvement over green twigs), she brought some amazingly thick towels in and left him to it.

The water was so nice that he lost track of time, finally thinking to wash up when he realized he had simply been standing there for too long. He eyed the razor Marian had left out, but after looking in the mirror-- a vaguely unsettling experience, seeing such a clear reflection of himself; albeit a useful thing,-- he did not see that a shave was necessary just yet.

Donning his new clothing, he found that he was slightly nervous. Now that he was no longer wearing his familiar outfit, instead garbed in a very unfamiliar modern one, this all seemed so... real. He knew his own world inside and out, beyond most people, and was supremely confident of his ability to survive there. Here? He hadn't the faintest clue where to begin.

Straightening, he gave himself a mental kick in the arse. Stop feeling so sorry for yourself, and get out there and see what your wife has cooked. Your betrothed. Marian.

Doing his best to grin as if he hadn't a care in the world, he went out into the apartment.
